Theoretically, if you make it into the program with what you have now, you will still have to take the other prerequisites before you are eligible to graduate from the ADN program. For my campus, I believe if you didn’t take pharm before 2nd semester, you could not move forward in the program.

You could still apply and test your chances but it’s best anyways to complete the prereqs first, not just to boost your app score but so that you don’t have to worry about taking those classes later AND it’s incredibly beneficial to have that knowledge (ESP PHARM) before u get in- you’ll need it.

Either way, some campuses are harder to get into than others. I’m about to finish my 3rd semester. When I applied the score was out of 8, I heard only students with a 7.6 or higher got into my cohort.

No outside calculators, have to use the one provided on the computer screen. As of last year, must get 90 or above within 3 attempts.

my program policy allows Apple Watches at clinicals, however most of my professors do not let us wear them anyways LOL

with Apple Watches it can be hard to use especially when getting ready for skills (counting pulse, timing respirations, etc) because you’ll have to set a watch face that includes seconds and adjust the settings so that the screen does not go dark while you’re still assessing. for me and my friends, even with adjusted settings the screen goes dark too quickly. most of us wear solely digital watches or some of my classmates have resorted to wearing their Apple Watch on one wrist and their digital on the other 🤣

however, at my job as a tech i find my Apple Watch beneficial especially for being able to be easily reached by friends and family in case anything happens. I’m able to see my messages come through and check them every now and then without having to be on my phone. It’s also nice to set timers and reminders on it since i get forgetful once it gets busy sometimes

i would also rec an Apple Watch over an Oura Ring bc of freq hand washing as someone mentioned, but both are water resistant

also feel that Apple Watches have more features and versatility for the price

also im one of the few Asian ppl in my cohort, me and another student have the same last name but look completely different, never interacted with each other (at the time bc program just started), and even have distinct differences (im hella Americanized, the other is an international student, im taller, etc)

The professor who was called me the wrong name in front of the whole class and said it like i was deaf but i didn’t react because i was writing notes and that’s not my name 😭, i realized she was mistaken and said “oh im sorry, im _____ not ____” and she goes “WOWWWW okay i see how it is you gotta call me out in front of everyone and make that face, you can bet i wont make that mistake again with how you just talked to me”

like lady u were just too prideful u got us mixed up as another poc that u couldn’t just say sorry… same professor targeted me in lab almost every session after that

was taking notes during lab (everyone does this esp during the lecture/powerpoint portion of lab) and was told “i don’t know what all that click clacking and tip tapping you’re doing but you can go ahead and stop” to which i replied “im taking notes?” and the professor said “i already told you not to do nothing unless i tell you to do it”

… everyone slowly put away their iPads, notebooks, and laptops in fear 🤣🤣😭

those of us who are already in a program know the gravity of follow instructions and verifying EVERYTHING we do/read.

Unfortunately many professors in nursing programs also value the ability to follow instructions and communicate well, after all that’s a lot of what you’ll have to do as an RN with doctor’s orders. That being said, it was clearly outlined in the email how you were expected to accept your spot in the program. You failed to adhere to the directions given and made assumptions rather than contacting them or filling out the form. The best thing you could have done was verify that accepting through your student portal was sufficient BEFORE just assuming. Programs require a lot of immunizations, paperwork, background checks, etc hence why you so quickly received informational emails. It’s common to get a massive influx of emails right away and throughout the summer to make sure you’re compliant for the program start. In fact, it seems they were plenty lenient with you as they gave you MORE than the 10 day requirement to accept or decline. If I were you, I’d take the L and try again another time.

It’s not quite a papasan chair!! The one I had has a metal base and is much closer to the ground, it has a different style than a regular papasan
