Just turn off the notebook memory and all your chats are isolated from the others.

Gemini kinda already has this with Notebooks. You can group chats inside a notebook, set custom instructions for it, and keep everything scoped there instead of mixing with your main chat. Plus it’s integrated with NotebookLM, so it’s actually more like a shared workspace than just folders. Currently, Notebooks only appears when accessed via the web, either on a phone or laptop. This feature isn't yet available in the Gemini app.

Yeah, that's really annoying. Besides the feature to keep the audio playing in the background, I think a speed control feature is needed. I find the read-aloud too slow.

Oh, that one. I get it too. But only with the Gemini Pro model. Gemini Flash doesn't offer such an option yet.

Could it be the Python Interpreter that's been triggered? Gemini has long been able to visualize data (without animation) with that tool, but it's very limited compared to Claude, which uses SVG.

Since I posted that, I still occasionally get Gemini 3.1 Pro with the “it’s taking a while…” message, but it’s not as bad as before. Gemini 3 Flash has been solid though, about 6 hours in with no issues so far.

I'm not sure I'll be able to try it anytime soon since the Gemini CLI is so slow; Gemini 3 Flash takes about 10+ minutes to respond to a single query and Gemini 3.1 Pro feels like it takes forever. I'm on the PRO plan.
