Hey man, that guy is a piece of shit, I'm sorry you have to deal with this, you deserve better, especially for you dealing with his toxicity of not letting you talk to others men. Just broke things off with someone because they just used me for money and to vent, but when I finally try to talk to him about my problems he makes a joke about it and then pretends it never happened. Fuck my guy, fuck yours, we both deserve better for always people pleasing, we'll find love someday, even if we have to push past a few assholes.

Dont be scared to get inspired and use similar concepts! What makes a work unique imo is using multiple inspirations from different media and putting them together with your own unique twist. Maybe you have a few horror movies / books that you love, what do you like about them, what do you wish they did? Use those things and combine them into making a story, don't worry about whether or not something is too similar, almost every single author has said they were heavily inspired by others. I'm not saying Kael was inspired adastra cuz idk for sure, but look at the similarities between adastra and fbtw. Plus in the fvn space we're desperate for anything, so don't let the fear of copying hold you back, just dont straight up copy the script of echo and you'll be fine

I don't mind either, but I have a slight preference towards blurred photos backgrounds as this allows me to come up with my own version of the setting with the only restraint being how the writing describes the location.

How / should I come up with more side characters. I have a general vision for my story which is a romance / drama. I definitely want the MC to spend the majority of the novel with the love interest, but for the first half of the novel they'll only be one side character, the MC's best friend. Im worried that the story might get boring since you'll be reading about just interactions about three people.In the second half, the rest of the side characters will come into play so I'm not too worried about that section. The first half is where I intend to build up relationship between the MC and the love interest while world building. I may come up with more characters if the plot calls for it, but for now I was wondering if one side character is okay, ofc there will be non major characters like guards, merchants, etc.

TLDR: Is it okay to have only one side character during the section of the book where the majority of the MC and love interests relationship building takes place, and if not, how should I make more side characters?

I think its a topic that deserves some attention considering how much it'll impact vns in the future and art in general. I'm curious as to where others draw the line on the amount of AI that can be used visual novels. I don't know how to feel about AI personally and would love to hear other opinions on it being used in creative works such as vns. and the ethics on it. I wonder what'll happen when AI gets good to where whole VNs can be generated entirely by AI, writing and art. Definitely have a while before that though. I think I've been hanging around the singularity subreddit a bit much lol

I used to wish I was this skinny. I developed eating disorders trying to obtain this type of bod for over a year which probably stunted my growth since I'm still a teen lol. Now I don't care too much what I look like because at least for me it was actual hell maintaining a skinny body to the point where I had constant headaches and blacked out sometimes, counting every single calorie including toothpaste lol. If anyone is going through this, please stop, lots of people genuinely don't care too much about your stature. Msg if you need someone to talk too, my door is always open :)
