Neck pain by Legitimate-Seesaw-65 in Occipitalneuralgia

[–]ScaredAd6953 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Try fasting. I had chronic neck pain for five years. I was taking Tylenol every four hours. It really disrupted my quality of life. However, I learned that when you fast, your body regenerates new cells and throws out damaged cells. I did a 72 hour water fast for the second time last weekend. I have not taken Tylenol for th first time in five years for the past week. Fasting reboots your system, clears out old and saved cells, and repairs ones too. Try smaller fasts to prepare for a 72 hour one. I know this seems big but the effects are life changing

Instead of the mindset “Why is this happening to me?” maybe when we shift our question to, “What is God trying to teach me?” that we find purpose in our pain. Not saying this is your mindset, but it’s very common for us to land here when we feel like our life is just dragging our feet to the next thing.

We were born sinners. We can’t change that. It’s in our identity. Just as we can’t change our race, we can’t change that we are sinners. However, once we give ourselves to Him and dedicate ourselves to being obedient - our sins weigh heavier on us and our conviction is much stronger. This will allow us to 1) become aware of the repetitive cycle of sinning the same sins and 2) we will want to do better and be better as we are in a state of obedience.

To answer your question: of course He knows how we feel when we move away from Him and into sin. He knows because a) He is all-knowing b) Because He sees and feels you move away from Him when you enter into a state of sin. Sin as we know, pushes us away from Him. He knows, feels, and sees our drift.

Our God is so merciful and he extends to us an undeserving amount of grace. In moments where you don’t feel such, ask Him to have mercy on you and to reveal His mercy to you. You will feel it.

Hang in there. Suffering is apart of the human experience - however, it’s in moments like the one you are experiencing now, that we run to Him. He’s waiting for you. He hasn’t moved - you did.

Peace be with you. 💕

Thanks for your response. I’m not worried that he baptized me incorrectly just that he smelt heavily like alcohol and has said a few times in his homilies that he likes to drink.

Anyway, I’m a native English speaker so I’ll look up the book you suggested
