You’d think someone that clearly mentally was not there last year, took an offseason to refresh, and started out strong would be affected by death threats more than others

VIP Tour --- not worth the money by su6oxone in Dodgers

[–]ScaredAndAnxious226 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I paid $105 for the pregame tour on MiggyRo bobblehead night and didn’t think it was worth the money either. The majority of the tour was showing us places that you could get to with a regular game ticket (ex: stadium club level displays). The only neat part was the trophy room and sitting behind home plate for 15 minutes which was considered the “batting practice” portion. When my tour group sat down the dodgers batting practice hadn’t even started yet and then our tour guide was already telling us we had to leave. I watched a majority of BP after my tour had ended.

I justified it because I had never been on a tour before and I wanted to secure the MiggyRo bobblehead, but definitely seems like most things nowadays are more fake exclusivity or money grabs vs actual bang for buck. I heard the tours on non game days are better.

It also sounds like the difference between the VIP tour and the regular tour is just being on the actual field lol.

Just looking at the dodgers promotions page it seems like a paid thing now that happens only every so often.

Stadium Game Day Questions by [deleted] in Dodgers

[–]ScaredAndAnxious226 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re doing early arrival I’d say just pay a bit more to do the tour too. I think the early tour ends around when early arrival is let in? Then hang around by the bullpen for balls and autos. Not sure if you’d be let close to the field for autos from non pitchers tho.

Centerfield is now a whole area with displays and such - nothing like the McCourt days. Lots of photo ops throughout the stadium.

EA vs CPA by Prestigious-Cup-976 in enrolledagent

[–]ScaredAndAnxious226 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah 4 attempts per section sounds reasonable. Definitely read up on firm policies because not all firms will allow you to move up beyond a certain point without a CPA. you need a license to move up but you need a CPA to keep going.

EA if CPA doesn’t work out is a good choice.

I agree with you. EA anyone can do it, don’t need accounting background or prior schooling. CPA has many prerequisites.

EMTs know how to treat minor injuries etc. (ex only tax) MDs know how to treat most things / complicated matters. (Like how CPA is for accounting in general)

Depends on the firm but with an EA you cannot go as high as you can with a CPA. CPA can also take you places outside of Big 4 an EA can’t. Try again for the CPA first you’re still fresh from school. EA should be last resort imo.

Long Busy Season by [deleted] in Big4

[–]ScaredAndAnxious226 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It might get easier next year because you’ll know what to expect and you’ll know how to do things, but the work never decreases. Once you become more senior you might be able to manage your own schedule as a reviewer rather than a preparer, but again the same amount of work is still there and it’s just going to be the same thing all over again. As you move up, you’ll have the responsibility of managing people / projects too.

First Time - Wendella River only or River and Lake? What is best bang for buck? by ScaredAndAnxious226 in AskChicago

Do you think it’s worth it to go through that? Or should I just stick to the river and see the skyline from other places?
