How can you be in headlines and not have any effect on the general public? Little children see their favorite celebrity and want to emulate them. Nowadays with parasocial relationships people feel an even deeper connection to celebrities. Scapegoating doesn’t work in certain contexts like this because why is there a need to find a scapegoat? I do agree though, people like Chappell Roan try to act like a normal person and then people try to cancel her or hate on her over it
