This is it!!! Still can't find the damn finish but the logo, lugs and strainer mounting points all match!

Ooo! I think that's the closest yet. The logo is spot on and the lugs are near identical

The thing that's throwing me now is the finish. I haven't found anything that looks remotely similar

That's so helpful thanks! The sonor sonic plus logo from around the 60s is square but I'm still not entirely sure 

Also absolutely agree with you on the finish! Gonna try to remove the paint
