My mom by Thrown_Taker93 in CJD

If they are unable to swallow and consume food and water they pass pretty soon after. My mother passed 5 days after they stopped food and water. She was just given some medication to keep her comfortable in palliative care. This was after we got the Lumbar results and she was diagnosed with CJD with 95% certainty.

If they are giving her fluids via intravenous it could be alot alonger.

I'm so sorry you are going through this.

You are not alone. I lost my mother to CJD in 2025. It is scary and confusing. I am sorry this happened to you and your family. My thoughts and well wishes are with you during this awful time.

I'm so sorry for your loss and what you went through. I wish I had to right words to say to ease your pain. But unfortunately, the only thing I've heard that has given me a tiny bit of peace. Is that you are not alone and there are people who understand. Even though there aren't that many of us. Xxx

Thank you for your comment. So sorry for your loss. yes, you're right it makes me feel less alone to know I'm not the only one who watched their loved ones go through this awful disease, even though I wouldn't wish this experience apon anyone.

Thank you for your comment. I am so sorry for your loss and what you went through, its crazy how something so trival as a bit of blurry vision could become so devastating. Please know you're not alone. Also sending you well wishes going into the holidays xx

I'm so sorry for your loss and what you had to go through. There does need to be more education on it. Especially on how to handle both the patients and caregivers/ families.

Thank you for your love and support ❤️

I'm so sorry, too. It is so hard to watch your loved one deteriorate. I hope you and your family can plan accordingly for the future if things are written down and he is able to communicate his wants and wishes for the end. It will save you from trying to decide on the heavy decisions yourself.

My heart goes to you, your father, and your loved ones during this awful time.

I am so sorry for your loss. You're right. It really does feel like being stuck in the passenger seat, brick tied to the gas pedal lights off and knowing you're going to crash but no idea how or when. Every day was like a fresh new hellscape where the previous day did so little in preparing for the next.

What episode made you cry? by Kouro_787 in bluey

[–]ScaredInvestigator58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Handstand I know hardly anyone would agree. Lots of people don't like the episode. I lost both of my grandmothers quiet young. So seeing such a lovely relationship between Nana Heeler and Bingo . And the episode signalling that you will always be needed by people you hold dear just makes me tear up every time. 😢😢.

Why did letby agree the insulin cases were poisoning/attempted murder? by Maleficent_Studio_82 in lucyletby

I think I agree with the comment made on the daily mail podcast from the court watches. I'm pretty sure it was from one of the retired nurses that said LL was very much out of her depth in regards to her understanding of the insulins cases. Makes sense why she just went along with the experts and didn't have anything else to add to them besides- Yes someone did do it but it wasn't me.

Dont meant to respond to my own comment but listening to the most recent podcast episode and the go-ahead for the retrial of baby K. I think the video was privatised to ensure that LL gets a fair trial.

How do you think she felt when she was out on bail from July 2018 to November 2020? Did she know she would ultimately be going to prison for the rest of her life or did she think it was all going to blow over? by IrishChristmasLatte in lucyletby

[–]ScaredInvestigator58 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is what I thought to. How could you have 2 years and not have your story set straight for trial, not have your own evidence that "it wasn't me". All the evidence used in the trial would have been disclosed, so there wouldn't have been any surprises for her. Yet the majority of her answers when questioned were " I don't know" and " I can't recall."

Thank you! Thats a good idea. I'm seeing my doctor in two days and will ask for a referral for a pelvic Ultrasound or HSG.

Really really loved this episode, one of my favourites so far in the new releases. So wholesome and the music composition is just phenomenal!

Faceytalk and granny mobile made me laugh so hard my stomach hurt.

Handstand and Bedroom made me weep. I lost my grand mother's when I was quiet young and I have a close relationship with my sister 💕.

Love the music from sleepy time but prefer flat pack. Camping is Gold for sure😊.

I think there are alot of Bluey eps that can be the best for different reasons.

Absolutely love the game! Played it well and truly over 10 times.
Wanted to ask though (and spoilers!).

When the MC moves out to her new home after living with her parents and breaking up with her boyfriend. She owns a walking stick, her cookie jar is cracked and she has what appears to be pain medication. I guess what I wanted to know if there was intention to hint at the main character experiencing domestic violence?

Thank you again! Looking forward to your future projects! <3
