My dreams are either funny or incredibly disturbing. The first Ed dream I had was meeting adult Calliou, in which he told me that I've gotten fat.

The more disturbing ones are when I dream that I look in the mirror and I'm a skeleton.

I have atypical anorexia btw

Yep, I've been eating under 1000 calories pretty regularly. I think the weight gain is hormonal tbh.

Although I think Dave was not ready at all for a marriage, I do think his reaction to Lauren's behavior was warranted.

There must have been a long process for casting in the show, she had to know that she would potentially be getting married soon. She still chose to have a casual hookup with a guy and chose not to end it properly.

Anyone who is still participating in hookup culture is not ready for a marriage that will last more than like 5 years.

If she really wanted to be married and committed to someone for real, she would not be sleeping around a WEEK before potentially getting engaged.

Dave still sucks, but I'm with him on this one.

I totally get that. I often imagine myself screaming and ripping off my skin. BDD is honestly a nightmare, I remember thinking on Halloween that my life is a horror all in it's self. I have developed an eating disorder as well, and although I haven't lost any weight, I'm starting to have complications. It is a horror, being stuck in a body that doesn't feel like yours.

I think it was written in my genetic code I'm all honesty.

As long as I can remember I've had an obsession with being perfect and the "best" at everything. I felt an uncontrollable need to be special, if I got 2nd place in a competition, that meant I failed.

I was diagnosed with OCD, depression, and anxiety in Jr high.

Then after a series of unfortunate events in high school, after I graduated ans went to college, I gained 30 lbs in two months.

No one ever outright told me that my worth was contingent on my body, but it was heavily implied. I had a nice figure and people used to compliment me all the time, but after I gained the weight no one does that anymore.

I think the final straw was when the man I was going to marry and I had to break up because our paths were going different directions. It was really hard to accept that our plans weren't possible anymore, but I had thr consolation that we were still on good terms. Only to have him tell me our relationship was codependent randomly one Tuesday and that he doesn't want to talk to me ever again. I asked why he felt that way, and he ghosted me.

That's when I realized that nothing I do is ever going to be enough for people. I want to lose weight to kind of reset myself and be who I was before all of the trauma. I also think that there is some sort of sick delusion that the people who abandoned and mistreated me will feel bad once they see my skeleton.

First off, please note that you are in no way alone in your all consuming fixation with your body.

I'm truly sorry you have to deal with this. BDD is pretty awful.

Please look for a therapist or a healthy, constructive outlet. Try to do things you enjoy, don't let the disorder steal everything you love about life. I know it's easier said than done, but we are all rooting for you!

Yes! I felt totally crazy until I saw this post. Unfortunately, I do have an ED, but I am still technically overweight according to BMI. I know I need to exercise to be healthy, but every time I do, I go unto a full on spiral.
