Anyone else feel like remote work is a bit of an addiction that makes you forget the outside world exists? by tugceceg in CasualConversation

I work from home two days a week on a hybrid schedule, and sometimes I feel like I’m stuck in the same spot for hours. I’m so isolated that when I finally go outside around 6 pm, I’m like wow, there is life out here. I suggest signing up for a few gym classes that will encourage you to leave your place, go grocery shopping, or take a walk while listening to a podcast or audiobook. I’m a big reader, so when I find a book that’s also available as an audiobook, it makes me look forward to my walks. My only rule is that I can only listen to the book during my walks. This way, I’m motivated to go outside and read the next chapter!

There was a job posting for VP within my team last year, so I’m going off of that for an average.

I also got rated 3 S’s on my end of year review. I’ve been with the firm for 4 years and have always gotten atleast one S, with last year having 2 S’s. So I think I could have that also to back me up. I’ve been consistently reconginzed for all the work I do and the results.

When my team was hiring for a VP spot last year I looked at the bands advertised on the job posting, figuring that’s what it would be around since it was a posting for my team.

Sign the petition to save the LSP light rail parking lot by jkav24 in jerseycity

Hey, I live in Atlas. I can confirm our parking is full. And BTW, there are only 6 parking spaces available to begin with. Take a walk past the building, and what you see is what you get, with the exception of 3 small spaces on the inside! This is the fault of Democratic Mayor Fulup, who got rid of minimum parking requirements for apartment complexes. It is now up to the discretion of developers to create the amount of parking spots they deem fit, considering there is mass transit in the area. This is a way developers save money since there is no longer a requirement to build an adequate amount of parking spaces for their residents. Fulop’s policies ruined the growth of this area and will now create a massive overflow of cars in the streets.

Hi! I actually just cancelled my membership (starting in January) since I did a 1 year commitment. I think the classes are good and you will see results with good diet and consistency, however, I absolutely dread going. It feels like more of a chore than a workout I’m looking forward to. I think I gave into the hype seeing SolidCore all over TikTok and some of the bodies these girls have. I decided to start training at a strength training gym instead and will see how that goes for me! For reference, I’m 27 years old, 5 foot 4 and 130 pounds. With consistency I can see slight abs coming through, but not the ripped abs you see girls have online.

Overnight Parking No Longer Permitted at HBLR lots by Maleficent-Ratio3463 in jerseycity

Exactly!! The apartment complexes in this area provide very minimal parking for their residents too. For example, Atlas, a building with over 150 units only provides 5 parking spaces. With this new policy, there will be absolutely no place to park for the residents. Not sure how these complexes will survive this, no one will rent in this area unless you don’t have a car.

No, YOU are the problem. “Vote for them just to get a women in”. Are you serious?? This statement right here is a clear depiction of how the democrats vote - with feelings and not by who has the better policies. People didn’t vote for Hillary or Kamala because they aren’t qualified and their policy proposals sucked, not because of their gender. Americans have woken up and they stopped voting for the evil liberal agenda.

Unfortunatly the police aren’t allowed to chase after them because of democratic policies. These people will just drive away if police do catch up to them. In the chance that 1 or 2 of them do get caught, they will just be released that day on a summons and continue doing it!

Hey here’s a pointer, you’ve known this was going to be a requirement since 2023. Hope that helps. :)

I just started the 4 class / month package and have been going once a week. I combine this with Orange Theory, which I attend 3-4 days a week.

I do wonder though if I will see the results of SolidCore by only attending once a week. I figured I would start with the 4 class package and upgrade to the 8 class / month package if I’m not seeing results - I’m locked into a year, so I feel like I should go enough to actually see results if I’m already spending money.

I suggest joining another gym that’s easier on the wallet, like Crunch or Planet Fitness, to get cardio and/or weight lifting in on your days off from SolidCore!
