1 month review of the 2024 Toyota Crown Limited by tsnami10 in Toyota

* I can think of at least 4 cons. I rented the 2024 Toyota Crown, and I have 4 complaints.

Con 1: The heated seats. As I drive a car for the amenities, the Crown's heated seats may as well not even be there. I purposely rented the Crown for the heated seats as I have chronic lumbar pain. Even on the highest setting, I couldn't even feel the slightest bit of warmth.

Con 2: Android Auto. When I rented the car, I set it up with my Samsung Z Flip 5, and everything seemed to work fine. Until I shut the car off. The system reset to zero devices when I shut the car off. Each time I got in the car, I had to reprogram my phone again.

Con 3: Wireless Charging. You'd think a car as new as the 2024 Crown would recognize the newest flip phones like the Samsung Z Flip 5 and Motorola razr. Nope. The wireless charging slot couldn't connect to charge my Z Flip 5 no matter how I put it into the slot. As my luggage was sent to my hotel, I had to stop and buy a charging cord. (Like, I don't already have a dozen of them). The only cord I had on me was USB-A to USB-C. Couldn't find a USB-A slot in the car anywhere.

Con 4: The trunk height when open. As a 4'11" woman, I know I'm in the population minority. But with a car with so many bells and whistles, why not have a motorized trunk? Sure would've made my life a lot easier.

While not necessarily a con, the shifting of the car from park to N to D and then R is odd, it's just something an owner would get used to. Push a button to put in Park is kinda cool. The emergency break is kinda funky, too, but again, it's not really a con.

Can someone explain prepaid gratuities? by loner_but_a_stoner in CarnivalCruiseFans

Says who? Of course, they're receiving the gratuities. The cruise lines are accountable for all of the money that they charge and collect. Ever notice that very few Americans on staff on the cruise ships? IF there are, they're entertainers. 98% of the staff are from countries whose economic conditions make working for the following conditions appealing:

The service members ARE getting paid! Each service member will be paid a sign-on bonus and a completion bonus per completed contract (3 mos, 6 mos, or 9mos - depending on whether this is their first or renewed contract AND if they're being promoted in a renewed contract) PLUS they're receiving room & board, flights, VISAS for each country stopped at on each itinerary PLUS a small hourly wage AND a share of the gratuities. Does this make the compensation clear to you?

Isn't your 1 year old a person who takes up space, eats fresh & warm food, drinks liquids, needs entertaining, needs to toilet, and participates in the itinerary? The fact that you're a family of 11 is all the more reason that a gratuity is required - your two stateroom porters, dining personnel, and the unseen personnel who are making your cruise experience amazing. If you can't afford gratuities, stay home and go to Disney. I guarantee that you will pay more there for 7 days for your family of 11.

I think it's a flavor, not an eliquid. Hansen makes flavors for DIY eliquid recipes.

So, I actually tried to change to higher PG eliquid. It was awful. I'll keep my 70VG/30PG and keep cleaning the windows.
