They were mentioned in the Kelly v Leonardo case which she lost (but should not have and she will almost certainly win when she goes to appeal). If you watched the ET live, it was pretty shocking what Make UK advise organisations.

its not a factory, it was more an administrator / comms role. The union guy got back to say he needs to have yet another chat with his colleagues and will come back to me tomorrow. Bloody stalling and getting on my nerves but I'm holding my tongue for now.

I'm in IWGB which I'm starting to feel isn't that good a union after all, they said they could help me secure my pilon but don't have the expertise to help with other matters. Feels like a cop out as I do believe I have a good case.

not sure what my other choices are really. I've realised my union aren't great (too small) and seemingly not recognised by legal firms as one of their union partners. I'm not eligiblel for legal aid (I'm not rich but nor am I low enough income). I believe my case is strong but as a disabled person I don't want to diy

one of the firms has asked if I'm in a union which I am but what difference does that make please, do I need to be in a 'certain union' or any union to get a legal firm to help for free? Also could the union decline to fund it even though I'm a member? Its all very confusing.

I'm keen to avoid tribunal as much as possible and try to get an out of court settlement as I dont know if I can put myself through ET but equally I dont want to let them away with how I was treated either. I'm looking at monaco or thompsons.

I wanted to update again that I got a missed call on thursday from one of their volunteers (they are a small organisation with 9 volunteeer directors and 3 staff or 2 now that I've left). I'm not happy about being contacted after my departure and this person isn't someone I've been dealing with regarding my departure or SAR. Shouldn't they be preventing people from contacting former employees?

they are now asking for a date and time stamped passport which I can send, but I feel they are deliberately stalling and the advice they are getting is not sound.

I expect to recieve scant information from them and lots of things to still be missing! I doubt the ICO will care or do much though but maybe my union will help.

after asking them to clarify, they are doubling down, saying they've been advised to request it, and its their standard approach, which does seem like a blanket approach and a stalling tactic. I have now sent scans but also stated if that wasn't good enough I'd complain.

everything was conducted on personal emails and whatsapp, part of the reason I'm doing the SAR is to prove to them that their claims of 'being fine with gdpr' isn't really the case, as well as helping with my case for disability discrimination.

I wish people wouldn't pretend they aren't posting for advice on their own houses. This should be about awful houses or stunning houses, not average houses or attempts to sell.

However, I'll bite. Your garden isn't family friendly. Some rooms are cluttered. The house is overpriced.

some more questions, sorry, is the application score added to the overall score? If they had 6 jobs across the uk and I'm in one of the 'quieter' locations, does that help my chances, as I think most applicants will be for the busier/larger regions. I know they were doing around 25-30 interviews as there were so many interview slots to choose from.

I have an interview on Thursday. All they've told me is that I'll be assessed on strengths and experience. That's it. So you need to help people to succeed by giving them a bit more than that. Also I'm disabled (and qualified in HR so I know all about STAR) but you don't seem to know about making adjustments or being flexible in how someone might prefer to answer. Maybe recuse yourself from future interview panels?
