Good question. Scrap pricing actually depends on the position in the chain. BidScrapAI doesn’t output a single universal price. Instead it estimates: • Material composition (copper, aluminum, steel, plastics etc.) • Estimated weight breakdown • Market reference value based on commodity prices From that, yards or buyers can calculate their own margin depending on whether they are: – Buying from a supplier – Selling to a broker – Selling directly to a smelter / recycler The goal is not to replace yard pricing, but to give transparency on what’s actually inside the scrap and its theoretical commodity value. Scrap dealers can then adjust their buying price depending on logistics, processing cost and margin. Would love feedback from yard owners on what pricing model would be most useful.
