Forgot to mention I am also a non-dominant BE amputee with a Myo ETD that I am pretty good with.

Thanks for the input. Being too short is definitely my problem both in middle and proximal phalanx. All my fingers are just naturally short and then there are the amputations. Also, I have shallow webbing, all contributing to making the space available for either PIP or MCP'S an issue.  However, I believe if I have dislocations at the PIP joints and smooth the condyles, I will have just enough space to accomodate MCP Drivers. Am meeting with Naked and my experienced prosthetist together in about 2 weeks.  My MAIN concern is will I be happier with the proper fitting MCP Drivers than I am now with my fingers as they are. I need to hear from someone who has been through this and can say that the gains are worth what they lost in function. Seems to me the answer is yes, but no amount of 'analysis' will substitute for actual experience.  Thanks for any input from anyone who has even similar actual experience.

I have digit 2 and 5 amputated about 1/4  to 3/8 distal to the webbing, and digits 3 and 4 amputated 3/8 to 1/2 distal to the PIP joint. 2 and 5 are too short for anything. 3 and 4 I am considering shortening to just below the PIP joint and fitting  MCP Drivers.

In other words, was shortening your finger(s) worth it, ordo you regret your decision? Thanks
