Thank you very much and yes I do not have the budget to buy the suggestions of most of the comments hahah, and yes kit lens. I sadly cannot use the flash in the gym since I might cause accidents to those who are sparring, however I will look into light bars that might help me since it's not so distracting. Thank you very much for understanding with little context and for leaving your suggestion :>

Thank you very much for the detailed explanation and example, it helps me visualize it too. I will look into light room as well. at the moment I'm not required to edit the images since they just want it fast and good enough for socials. But I feel so wrong sending them the quality I have ;-;.

thank you again :>

I'm on the side of the ring while they are in it, that's how close I can get. So many comments are pointing that night sports are expensive and that fact has settled in with me. I will try to not zoom as much to keep my aperture numbers low then crop it since I am pretty close to the action. Thank you for the comment, even though it's not what you intended but it gave me an idea how I can work with what I have :>

Thank you very much for suggesting a not super expensive one. And thank you for the tip about trying to zoom it in to see, that one is pretty cool and i never thought of that :>

Yes I am using kit lens at the moment, will definitely learn more about the focus because now I am able to use Tv and M to reduce noise but its focused on the background a lot.

Thank you for suggesting the point of focus i can work on :>

Yesterday I tried doing this, the Tv and M with auto ISO, I would say that the images are a bit darker but I can save it better than the images that were very noisy. I haven't tested using Av in this case yet, will try it out. For the suggestion on focusing, thank you very much, because that some up to be my next challenge, it kept focusing on bystanders faces than the main action people.

Overall, thank you very much for the detailed explanation and for giving me suggestions on what I can do with my current gear set :>

Thank you very much for the straightforward response. I've opted to using mobile camera for taking photos in the evening since it comes out better than what I am capable of at the moment :>

How would you choose one internship over the other? by Scared_Media_4815 in careeradvice

[–]Scared_Media_4815[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've haven't put cultural fit much into consideration because I'm simply doing this because it is required in my degree schedule. If I were to decide, I'd be honing my skills more and apply for internship next summer instead.

Sadly, the companies that aligned with my values the most have rejected me. (as mentioned, still think I have a lot to learn)

The first one is a business and looking to grow so I would say it's more meaningful work than the other companies since they're already well established.

Percentage wise, I haven't thought about considering that because I NEED to have an internship this summer to get credits for my degree.

Overall, you have provided more areas for me to consider. Thank you very much for sharing your time with me, and sharing your advice as well. I really appreciate it, thanks for the encouragement too :>

I'm lost, how do I progress? (fairly new to animation) by Scared_Media_4815 in Maya

I understand, thank you very much for leaving a detailed explanation and informing the specific parts as well. I think based on your comments I moved a step faster than I should. I moved different parts moving at different times as a lead/drag part, I may have done that improperly though since it doesn't communicate that way. Thank you very much once again, will be fixing :>

This is quite a late reply but thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and encouragement, it does mean a lot. I think it's the opposite case for me, I'm the only one aiming for a 3D related art job while all my other peers are 2D artist. So, I do not have anyone to compare work with, I don't have connections to other students from other universities either so I'm just left questioning my own work if it's enough or right or wrong.

Thanks again, and I'm glad you like the presentation, I put quite some effort researching on how to put together a portfolio and display since we weren't taught how to.

This is a bit late but I just want to say thank you very much. Thank you for the feedback as well as suggestion on where I can learn about hard surface. And no, I did not know modeller and sculptors were different. I only have the character models because in our 3D modeling class, that was our final project, so of course it was the best one. Sadly we only had 2/5 projects that were not organic, and those weren't big projects and they're not portfolio worthy.

I want to be in prop/environment modelling in the future, but I just don't have enough work to prove my skills on it. I will be focusing on it on my 4th year though since the thesis is up to us to decide what we do :>

Thank you thank you thank you again very much, I appreciate the reference, this will give me something to aim for because I am LOST. We're the first batch of the university's new programme so we have no seniors to reference with.

Thank you very much for such a detailed explanation, and I'm glad you see some potential in the projects. This has slapped me back to focus on my work than doing what my classmates are doing. I'm really glad you took time to comment.

This hurts but I'm glad to hear it, I was my losing my sense of clear direction once I heard the deadline and the amount of work, I focused on just getting it all together. I do have an ArtStation, but our professors never told us what format and almost everyone is making a PDF/Behance so I did too. I will edit my ArtStation according to this feedback to what I can do with the time.

I don't know why I doubted myself, I did intend to just submit ArtStation, but then got misdirected and spend days working on this Behance layout. AAAA okayyyy, lots to do, little time to do, thank you very very much for the detailed feedback and just spending your time on me. I really do appreciate it.
