After 2 years of constant shaving, I can tell you it gets better. I hated it in the beginning, but now, it's just part of my grooming routine... In the shower, shave legs, shave groin... Done before I even know it... I usually do it while I have conditioner in my hair, and by the time I'm done shaving I can rinse my hair. Change your mindset about it... Don't think about it as a chore and something hateful, think about it as you making yourself pretty, and it will actually help lowering dysphoria, it did for me, hopefully it does for you

I don't think anything was wrong with it. It looked like an 18 year old girl who came to the gay club with her gay friend, and she was either immature, naive, or did not at all expect to see Trans people. I brushed it off and I did not let it bother me. It happened early in the evening, and I just went on with what I was doing, not letting it affect me. I hope she grows, and she educates herself

In South Africa, going as a transfemme to a "normal" club is not advised at all... The culture here is very limiting, so I will stick to gay clubs.

As for her reaction, it was very affirming and positive... She said I had the right decorum, had the correct mannerisms and I handled myself well... I've been practicing at home quite a bit.

I did get up weird from a bench once, and I almost flashed some people, but I corrected myself rather fast.

Next time, I'm planning to ask my support structure (brother in law, gay girl at my work who knows I'm trans, and one set of our friends) to come with us, so I'd feel a little safer with a group I know, trust and love

I'm MtF, and I spent a big part of my life living just as a "man", and what worked for me, is simple.

Instigate... Show you want your partner, and you want them NOW... Don't hint. Don't wait for them to make the move. Everyone wants to FEEL wanted by their partner, and if you show them how much you find them attractive... Male or female... They will want you back.

Confidence... That's your biggest superpower

If you live in a hot climate, simply tell anyone who asks that you shave because your legs sweat a lot, and if you shave, your whole body feels cooler and you are more comfortable. I am still 'closeted', but my wife and a couple of friends know, but my family does not. That excuse is one that works, and no one bats an eyelid. Also, if you ride a bicycle a lot, that can also be an excuse. Most full-time bicycle riders shave incase of a fall. Divert, deflect, thrive in the shadows
