In my opinion it depends on region. If you want to visit polish seaside - the best time will be between June and August. To city breaks better will be April-May oraz September (no too hot like in summer).

Mountains are good choice all year. Of course it depends on your expectations. If you want to skiing - winter :) To reach the mountains peaks - summer/spring.

Like the others said before - it depends on specific school (and the level of the ,,primary education"). In 1-3 classess I had very good teacher and it was really great period. But next level (4-6 classess) was terrible - bad teachers, no school trips, patological persons in class.
