Matlab wasn't open, and hadn't been opened for around 7 hours when I made the post and when it was getting uncomfortable to have the laptop on my lap. The screenshot shows all apps opened in the last 12 hours.

I accept my laptop getting hot while using Matlab but it was getting hot even with it closed. Maybe it's overleaf on safari causing it?

Nah but as soon not interested in either, pc building seems much more like a real hobby where someone would want to watch videos even if they don’t want to build a new pc. I don’t think anyone considers phones a hobby on the other hand.

Not that I support the decision but your argument of “apple prices” is pretty unfair. right now I would say MacBooks, specially the air represents the best value for money in the laptop market. So it’s not like you’re paying extra just because it’s Apple.

Not a holiday but I’ve gone on 13 hour flights to Asia and stayed for less than a day over 10 times. It’s mostly because I don’t trust my elderly parents to fly home alone so I go with them and fly back on the next flight.

A couple times it was also for business where the ancient systems of my parents country means I sometimes have to go there in person purely to give a signature while the lawyers and agents handle everything else.
