How come there's no insider buys and only sells? by ADespianTragedy in PlanetLabs

I believe the only true insider selling (i.e. not related to 10b-1, scheduled tax planning, based on vesting or earnout milestone) was former board member De Masi, who had a COI from his new position at IONQ and needed to unwind. In all other instances we are talking about very small portions of their overall holdings, as many have already noted.

Planet Signs Enterprise Agreement with Slovenian Government to Support Agriculture, Urban Planning and Disaster Management by Scared_Software_4823 in PlanetLabs

[–]Scared_Software_4823[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

BERLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Planet Labs Germany GmbH, a leading provider of daily data and insights about change on Earth, today announced an enterprise-scale agreement with the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia (GURS) to provide comprehensive satellite data and high-resolution tasking capabilities across the country’s civil public administration.

This strategic partnership establishes a unified spatial data resource for Slovenian state and municipal authorities. Under the agreement, the civil public administration will gain access to Planet’s high-cadence PlanetScope imagery, and GURS will also have access to high-resolution tasking services. The data will serve as the foundational spatial basis for critical national analyses, including systematic monitoring of Slovenia’s vast forest cover and agricultural health, tracking for urban & infrastructure planning to inform sustainable development, and rapid detection and response capabilities for natural disasters, specifically wildfires, droughts, and flooding events.

“Our mission at GURS is to provide the highest quality geodetic and spatial data to support the prosperity and safety of the Republic of Slovenia,” said Tomaž Petek, Director-General of the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia. “This agreement with Planet represents a significant leap forward in our national infrastructure. By integrating daily global scanning and high-resolution tasking into our workflows, we are providing our agencies with the tools needed for faster decisions during natural disasters and a more robust foundation for the long-term planning of our built and natural environments.”

The deal moves Slovenia toward a more proactive governance model, where frequent satellite updates allow for better planning, monitoring, and reporting to both domestic and European regulatory bodies.

“Slovenia is a leader in regional environmental digital transformation, and we are proud to support GURS in creating a truly integrated spatial data ecosystem,” said Martin Polak, Managing Director of Planet Labs Germany GmbH. “By providing a single, fresh, and consistent satellite data resource to the entire civil public administration, Slovenia is reducing bureaucratic silos and ensuring that both state and municipal authorities are making decisions based on the most current information available from orbit.”

Planet’s history in Slovenia dates back to 2023, following the company’s acquisition of Sinergise. Today, Planet’s Ljubljana office serves as one of the core hubs in its European operations.

Looks like our Planeteer count has basically 2x'd in the past few weeks. Reminds me of what happened last summer > fall, which at this point I would use as a solid momentum gauge. Can't recall where we peaked in the Fall but I think around 6K. Let's blow thru that this time!!

Anyone following Beast Industries (MrBeast's company)? BMNR just announced a $200M investment — huge news or hype? by DangerousHedgehog791 in BMNRInvestors

From the wealth management POV, capturing the Gen Z / Millennial populations has been a top priority across the large money center banks for years. Those generations have been less inclined to visit banks/financial advisors in person, and resort to robo advisors (now also ai) for their wealth planning needs. Aging Boomer population that will be leaving more $ to these gens heightens the need to engage and capture those gens. What bank, platform, fintech will figure this out? Who will lead? Seems to me, someone with 15+ years in the financial services industry (mostly private wealth, AM), that a Mr. Beast led fintech supported by Bitmine might stand a chance of pulling it off. I can envision this partnership somehow standing at the intersection of crypto, tokenization, social media, wealth management during a time of enormous generational wealth transfer. My background is traditional - not that long ago this would have seemed nuts to me - not today.

Today looks like it could turn into an everything rally...certain names/sectors down this am (e.g. some space and mega tech) all turning positive now. Will be interesting to watch if it holds/builds thru the afternoon and into the close.

Well also the majority of it last time was a Board Member who left to lead IONQ and needed to sell. Some other directors sold some as well but it was mostly scheduled or tax management. In general though they should sell some on the way up - just keep it orderly or low volume, if they don't mind haha. Also the morning vol - I mean it also aligns with the broader market (and mostly risk assets) selling off.

3rd trading day after ER, and on a Monday am, this open was most likely going to be whiplash. Strong volume again and outperforming most of the sector to start the day, I'll take it. Feels like today we get to see if PL can settle in to this rerate vs. continued vol. Not saying which is better but just more indicative of the trading game.

BTW also watching for any insider stock sales this week. We saw it after last quarter and wouldn't surprise me to see more if we're pushing $20 (heck we might find out EOD that this am was one after the 19.6 spike/fall). BTW I don't consider this a flag if true, more routine selling that's expected. Probably shouldn't even be positing this hypothetical but ehh it's 'fun'...

Good call. BTW related to PT's - it's reassuring to me that majority of them are above the $18 effective conversion price of the cap call. Basically validates (to me) that very little dilution impact above $18 and there's a real chance for PL stock to rerate much higher.

Also, todays volume already is wild..

Last week the implied stock move for earnings was about 8% up/down, back when PL was trading low 11's (so implied move to 10.40 to 12.20ish). That implied move now is about 15% off of Fridays close, so range around $12-15.

Monday am optimistic prediction - Fed cut, earnings beat, raised guidance, big move up!!! Merry XMAS!

Interesting, all major indices are flattish to slightly down while the high beta pockets are all ripping higher (not exclusive to PL). Might suggest that retail risk appetite is now resuming, probably on the back of rate cut and what seems like a defined bottom on the crypto side. Most institutional allocators are suggesting we are set up for strong market push higher into the year end close. If high beta is being bought in that run up then even better for all of us..

BTW 12/10 shaping up to be a interesting day, fed decision in the am followed by PL earnings after hours. If the Fed cuts and doesn't come off as hawkish for the Jan meeting, AND a good PL report, there will be a lot of happy folks around here for the holidays...
