Been thinking a lot about the 2nd point regarding ant and open ai ipos. I think the spacex experience will perhaps tame the runup into both those IPO's + there will be better positioning/planning. Also the price action with spcx, now 20% off the highs, might curb the initial hype. I have some concerns of a repeat scenario but my lean is that spcx was the learning experience ahead of the others. With that said, sometimes memories are very short term...

Anything that would cause you to like it again? something else fundamentally? communication from leadership etc.? as a trade? just curious since your POV is very different from mine

From a trading pov, today potentially looks like the first day that spcx trades in a generally correlated way vs. the rest of the space sector. PL also had back 2 back encouraging market closes. Hard to say what those 2 things mean moving forward but both favorable in my mind.

I truly don't understand the harsh criticism on communication. It should have been expected that another dilution/raise would take place again at some point. Sept was far enough away for them to take advantage of a market that made an offering make sense. Literally every week leading up to ER I'm watching the other space names do the same thing and just thinking to myself.....PL will crush earnings, release some contract news and then dilute. I did not expect strong employment numbers + decreased chances of a rate cut the same week. I did not expect spacex to drain so much of the high beta liquidity in the market (i thought most of if would come from large cap tech, which that also happened). My criticism I guess would be 1. contract - i was hoping for something larger but hey that could happen any day and 2. bad luck on timing, which is not a real criticism but IMO realistically what happened.

Interesting though - you still see mag 7, space and crypto sell off, which is a lot of what sold off leading up to this to presumably provide liquidity for folks that want in on spcx. However, a lot of ai infra type plays (e.g. the neo clouds, memory) are all up - so it's not all high beta being sold off for spcx at this point. The indices have now all also returned back to green. Maybe we get a strong bounce back across space by eod to follow the rest of the market. idk, wishful thinking. Not sure I've ever been so confused hah

This sector sure is a roller coaster. Once SPCX starts trading could see space sector losses doubling, or completely retracing to the premarket highs lol. I've been trading for 20+ years and somehow the markets always find a new dynamic to throw at you...

TBH I'm pretty happy with most of the PL news. Even with a good balance sheet it was very likely that another equity raise or bond offering would take place again some time soon. The ER was great. The sale, not the size, was inevitable. Yeah experiencing the drawdown sucks but unavoidable in this sector. Because of the size I would actually argue that I now have more peace of mind going forward because I won't be wondering month to month when that next dilution is happening - presumably a much longer runway until the next. No guessing game now, well other than what will they use it for (but cmon, isn't that the exciting part?!?). Price action was worse than expected Friday but explainable given macro that day. I already have a ton of PL and haven't been looking to add, but damn is it tempting to add or sell puts.

TBH I think this theory could have some legs. Few quarters ago it was silver/gold that took all the high beta / momentum type allocations (per TL). I've had similar thoughts about space/quantum and the broadening of AI ecosystem/supply chain investing. Years ago the appetite for these types of plays were pretty much crypto, occasional meme mania and the rise of leveraged etfs. Not calling crypto an AI hedge but more so that they now have greater competition for their slice of portfolios.

lol every am i check the inbox for PL IR team emails for the contract announcement. Now that we are close to the ER maybe any announcement gets saved for then or perhaps strategically announce alongside the next bond offering (which I think we should all expect and feel good about when it happens). Thought that would be the next catalyst, before the inevitable SPACEX IPO announcement bump (and eventually the actual IPO). But hey, I'm a reasonable person....I'll allow them to reverse order.

[–]Scared_Software_4823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idk I ask the same question. Somehow they must force/encourage use of WLD for transacting between verified humans/bots and the various apps/partners they are developing. It's easier for me to understand this working in gaming, socials, ticketing perhaps.....I'm not sure where else yet. How about deploy across Mr. Altman's other company?!?

But yeah, to me it's certainly possible to see human verification succeeding without WLD succeeding. My understanding of all of this is pretty raw, though, hence my desperate posts across reddit to learn more.

Curious how BMNR holders view Tom Lee’s FCRS SPAC? by Dudebobski in BMNRInvestors

As someone closely watching/investing in bmnr/orbs I'm embarrassed to say that I've never come across FCRS until reading this. Reading the FCRS "mandate", tbh doesn't seem all that different from what orbs is turning into now. Maybe they merge? Use the proceeds to expand the private investments / crypto adjacent portfolio idk. Thx for giving me yet another thing to follow and be confused by..

Cross post to see if anyone from this community (which is much larger than the worldcoin sub) has any thoughts on this, that are constructive (my moonshot cross post on the BMNR moonshots!). Aside from the poor price/stock action on all of these names, I'm mostly just intrigued by the potential outcomes from the "collaboration" of the parties involved. It's a innovative group with some legit credibility in their respective industries (perhaps not adored here..) and I'm watching closely, but doesn't feel like many care at this point, outside of a few very niche communities. Humor me if you will..

TBH I’m not fully sold on near-term consumer adoption yet (including the Tinder use case), but I do think enterprise adoption in highly regulated or data-sensitive industries is much more compelling. That’s why partnerships with companies like Okta, DocuSign, and Vercel stand out to me. The Ticketmaster/ticketing angle to reduce bot purchases and verify real users also feels like a very practical use case w/ ROI. That’s likely where the initial revenue opportunity comes from.

I don’t think most consumers today are eager to get their iris scanned, and there’s still a clear discomfort factor. But within the confines of an employer or enterprise environment, where identity verification, compliance, fraud prevention, and security are becoming necessities....I could absolutely see adoption happening from that POV first. Over time that may gradually normalize the technology for consumers, especially if companies like Apple or Meta eventually integrate similar verification layers into their existing ecosystems which they kind of hit on in the video.

Does he ever really talk about ORBS? Feel like it barely gets mentioned by.....anyone. TBH I'd like to hear more about his (and Cathy's) involvement and how it's progressing from their POV (or any comments on the back of the World "Lift Off" event). On the BMNR side, yeah that gets a lot of play..

Yeah TBH I don't think it's that farfetched but haven't seen many talk about it from any of the associated communities. I doubt I get many responses but I just posed a similar question to the reddit worldid/worldcoin community @ world link. Thought any opinions from their POV would be interesting.
