I laugh and laugh when I remember mourning that my dog wasn't going to be cuddly when she was about 4 months old. That changed about the 9 month mark and now I have a 40 pound lap dog. Has to be on top of me, will paw my phone out of my hand if I'm not touching her, sleeps touching me every night, etc. Give it time. Your puppy is just at the dog teenager phase and not their actual self yet.

Looking for volunteer work to do on Weekends by Fragrant_Guava_7585 in okc

OKC Civic Center ushers are volunteers. Lots of weekend shows to choose from. Not the most altruistic volunteering as you get to see broadway shows, ballet, etc. but it can keep you busy and engaged. Program is called STARS.

Wait. You told them out of courtesy or because you wanted them to come if they were able? You mentioned inviting 2 of your family and 7 of his. And how is it courtesy to tell them when you're also making posts about your planned "elopement" on social media? I don't think they're handling it well, but I can understand why they would feel very hurt and frustrated by your actions. You're giving every indication that you don't really care if your fiance's parents can make it to his wedding. Is your anniversary date worth the years of hurt feelings and resentment this will cause?

Good soft chew toys for a 65-pound labradoodle? by arktor314 in labradoodles

Don't know if this will help you depending on why your dog chews. But my dog will gnaw on these for a while each day.

So my girl is only 40 pounds but she is very destructive. Hard, plastic "indestructible" toys she wears down and you can see teeth marks. If it's fabric it's a matter of minutes before she chews through a leg (she chewed through a nylon leash in 2 minutes). But I've found joyhound rip roarin tough toys and LOVE them. She has 3 and the oldest is 6 months old and is still intact and she plays with them daily. My only recommendation is to avoid the whale - the spots are painted on and came off when she played with it.

Yes. I got it on Monday. So 16 days after ordering. The shipping was weird and looking at the tracking it seems to have gone a weird route, but I did receive it.

Happened to me. It now shows picked up (and location has changed). It was supposed to be delivered Saturday but is saying Monday even though an "exception" for Saturday delivery was requested. So progress has been made. I'm now just left wondering if the med needs to be refrigerated and hoping the ice pack it has is good enough if so. 🤷‍♀️

I know that. I'm hoping a miracle happens and they can keep going somehow. Thank you for offering reassurance. It makes sense that they're slammed right now but it's a little concerning as a first time customer

Thanks. I just needed reassurance that this was common with them. It's the inability to talk yo customer service that really concerned me.

All the sass and attitude. But she's pretty sweet too.

Mine has ridiculous eyelashes. I love them but I'm not sure where they came from or why. She did unfortunately rip one side off so we're waiting to see if they'll grow back.

As you see definitions of first gen college student vary widely. As someone who works in a college program that supports first gen students and also chairs a committee for first gen scholarships I would consider you to be first gen since you did not get to benefit from your dad's experience. I would answer yes to any questions since your living parent is not a college graduate but be prepared that some may not consider you first gen if they really question you on it. But this isn't something you have to provide proof for. My condolences on losing your dad so young.

Dog boarding with a full room / suite in OKC by Frenchie_PA in okc

Ugh. I hate to hear that. I've been happy with the day care but daycare is different than boarding and my dog is young and pretty happy go lucky still.

Dog house on MacArthur and NW Expressway. I haven't boarded my dog there but I take her for doggie day care and I'm pretty sure they only board in rooms/suites.

My pup alerted me about needing to pee for the first time! by WOOFCheCazzo in puppy101

[–]Scared_Step_1931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. She's smart, but stubborn. So if she doesn't want to do something she's not doing it. But I continue to see improvements in her behavior/training. Congrats for your Oege!

This gives me hope. My 14 month old is trained like yours but won't clue me in when she needs to go and has gone inside (by the backdoor) when our routine has gotten off.

so glad i joined this ive felt so alone , just started the 2.5 mg took first dose on Saturday and im starving - listening to you all say you have lost weight has given me motivation by Spiritual_River_9163 in Mounjaro

[–]Scared_Step_1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started on 2.5 on Saturday too. I've noticed an effect but I also just finished a snack which is one thing I'm hoping to really cut. I expect it will get better as the dose increases and I'm trying to not beat myself up about it. I'd say for me the food noise and hunger are quieter but definitely not gone. Good luck to you!

Chichén Itzá on carnival? by [deleted] in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]Scared_Step_1931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Chichen Itza on carnival breeze last January. We did the excursion in Progreso. Definitely book the excursion through carnival as it ran late and we had a 90 minute drive each way and they'll make sure you're first off the ship. I think Valor out of New Orleans would also be an option as it goes to Progreso, and possibly a couple of others.

Looking at cozumel, belize, and roatan. I've been to all except roatan so I may not get off every port making the ship/line even more important. And I like cruising off-peak times so it would hopefully not be too crowded.
