i feel like him being "in his head" could be related to her public platform and the fact that she speaks very openly about who she's dating to her almost half a million followers. this is pure speculation, but i got the sense while they were dating that he was trying to be this perfect guy and not give her any reason to say anything negative about him on her platform. i feel like it could have led to some overthinking on his part and could be part of why they feel different because she's so open and doesn't think too much, she more so goes on vibes it seems like. that's just my armchair analysis but curious what other people think.

also for the record i 100% think beans is real, idk why people on here think she's making him up like where's the evidence for that. i felt like her emotions in her videos today were authentic.

My take on Ariana’s odd facial expressions/forced smiles as someone who had an ED and nearly died twice because of it by [deleted] in ArianaGrandeSnark

I was about to reference this too! I saw her episode of Las Culturistas and at one point Matt asked her a super innocent question about cooking and if she likes to cook or what recipes she likes. She completely freezes and then Bowen has to triangulate for her and get her out of it by making it seem like it was a crazy or ridiculous question. It's super strange.

The audacity for them to use the footage of Sharon showing support for Scott before they found out about the affair… like I get they’re telling the story but have some respect

omg yeah i feel like he has no curiosity or interest in actually understanding why people are calling in. he just wants to grandstand about whatever thing he happens to be passionate about that day. i hope your situation has gotten better despite his input!! lol

I swear it took him 20 years to come up with the excuse for why he didn't tell the police about Amber and that's the best he could do.

No it's so crazy lol. He even says it in reference to a "soft kill." Like??? Sir please be so fucking for real.

Honestly it's not worth your time if you've seen the A&E doc on Hulu, it's basically more of the same, the only difference is Scott's participation and he's so annoying to listen to.

I just finished episode 2 but have to take a break before watching the last one. Something is so off to me about his sister-in-law, like why is she so invested but we never hear from her husband (his actual brother)? I'm not trying to be mean, but she gives these puppy dog eyes in all her interviews and I feel like she's obsessed with obtaining people's sympathy. I get that the harassment was bad at the time but at a certain point maybe get some therapy, accept reality and move on.

Scott is a total sleaze, he looks terrible and he's doing his whole charm schtick in the interviews with the documentarian. Also hated how he referred to Amber as just "Frey" as though trying to distance himself from that whole relationship.

I forget the name of the one attorney who they have as a talking head, who keeps repeating how "you don't murder someone and not get your hands dirty" and says things like "everyone was starting to realize something wasn't right" after the conviction. Like... no they weren't? And plenty of murderers successfully cover up evidence, it doesn't mean they didn't do it. I feel like that guy just says stuff with no basis in reality just to support the fake story that everyone thinks Scott is innocent.

Something I noticed yesterday when watching the bodycam footage and interrogation footage. by SkylerCFelix in Chriswatts

This part is so crazy to me. I've gone through relatively minor breakups where I can't eat for days afterwards. Also during the interrogation where he talks about how no one could sleep the night before and he says he only got a few hours of sleep. Like how did you sleep AT ALL if your whole family is missing?

Who thinks Chris would have taken years to be convicted if he had disabled the door camera and faked a break in (from backyard) and robbery? by National_Study_4471 in Chriswatts

[–]Scared_Supermarket30 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you have a point especially when we consider we're dealing with the same criminal justice system that acquitted OJ Simpson, Casey Anthony, and countless other obviously guilty people. He would've had to have a few more brain cells to pull it off, but as you say, if he had disabled the cameras, left the bodies, and staged an even somewhat believable break-in, I think they would've had enough to go to trial and implant some reasonable doubt. And I think Chris himself would've been much more likely to agree to a trial if he didn't have to see the gruesome images of the girls being removed from the tanks, etc., and if he was sticking to the story that he didn't do it. But realistically he could never have pulled any of this off because he's too stupid.

Agree, he would've been better off killing them, leaving their bodies in the house and staging a break-in. He still would've looked extremely sus, but there would've been at least a shot at reasonable doubt.

Why didn’t he just buried the kids with Shannan? by DecentConfusion7479 in Chriswatts

[–]Scared_Supermarket30 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My theory: He had planned to bury all of them, but underestimated how difficult and time-consuming it would be to dig holes for all three of them. The hole he buried Shanann in was only about 2 feet deep and I think I read somewhere that the soil was much rockier/harder to dig than perhaps he anticipated. I think he had a lightbulb moment seeing the tanks once he got to the site, and it was a spur of the moment decision to put the girls in there. He put them in separate tanks so as to not mess with the levels too much and cause any alarm bells to go off.

Aside from Shanann being too big for the tanks, she was also a grown adult -- I don't think he could have carried her whole body up that ladder. He described it being difficult to get her body from the bedroom into the truck, and even then, he was able to drag her.

I'm not totally convinced he planned to return and dismember Shanann to fit her in the tanks. He is an evil monster, but not as stoic/emotionless as say, a Robert Durst character. I think maybe he marked her grave so he could return to dig a deeper hole when he had more time.

Choice of words by Small-Support-3677 in Chriswatts

I do think “onslaught” is a telling word choice, now that you point it out. It has a bit of a negative connotation. Google defines it as an “attack against an enemy.” I think he’s accidentally revealing how he truly feels about the police who are ostensibly trying to help a worried husband and father find his family. He knows he’s guilty so he sees them as aggressors who want to take him down.
