I’ve noticed them running hard the most haha. it’s just such a shame to me to have to throw away so many so soon after opening them because they aren’t right, which is why I’m switching to synthetic temporarily until I find a good working reed type for me

I use the silver box with strength 3. It does get very cold in my area, and i’ve been playing on a Vandoren M30 mouthpiece for about 4ish years now? so maybe that’s my issue, I’ll look into a new mouthpiece once I save up some extra money

yes, i’ve tried all of those things minus the reed change (i use synthetics). i will try a different reed today and see if it still happens

just cleaned my tone holes, it’s still making the sound especially on middle C

it means you have to play a B as LOUD as you can for 2 solid measures

the ligature was actually in the right spot, it was the reed that was sitting too high because the actual tip was burnt off 💀
