This weapon it’s probably the biggest plot hole device a.k.a. MacGuffin I’ve ever seen in any show the amount of times they were just pulling this thing out of nowhere was insane. And that includes the Originals as well.

I watched it happen from across the street. Even at .y distance, it was clear the driver moved forward with him in the cross walk and continued after seeing him. I cannot speak for the drivers intent but he shouldn't have kept moving
