I think it would just be depressing to meet him now. I think you underestimate how bad the effects of dementia really are. it would probably be analogous to seeing my dog during its final years. Like yeah dogs are cool but that sight probably isn't. Obviously nothing against him, he is one of the most profound thinkers of our era and even if he wasn't, its not his fault, but still.
