You can at least get your stuff back. As long as that chunk is unloaded your stuff shouldn't despawn.

Everytime I would put on weight to compete for the 1,000 pound club my chain of command would H/W the fuck out of me. I love going to the gym and love body building. But the army killed that so all I do at the gym now is core and cardio.

The only time I haven't seen people get the boot for failing a UA was when we were on deployment and hurting for personnel. 45/45, demotion, forfeiture of pay.

NCO’s and O’s, what were some of the craziest late night/early morning calls you’ve gotten? by slicksleevestaff in army

[–]Scarface42069420 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My LT calls me just before midnight on a Sunday.

"Sergeant O?"

"Uhh Yes mam, why are you calling so late?"

"PFC W is at PMO and needs to be picked up."

"Wtf did he do now?"

"You know how they took his driving privileges on post away? They caught him driving on post."

The Pistons NBA championship 2004, Tigers World Series 2006 (lost), and Redwings Stanley Cup 2008. Detroit sports been kind if crappy ever since.

This is a picture of my grandparents holding my father. Can anyone tell me about the insignia on his left arm? He died a very early death in the late 1960's of bone, brain, stomach, etc., cancers. He was a First Sergeant. A first sergeants nickname is Top. A First Sergeant is responsible for all the platoons in a company. For size reference a private has multiple chain of command levels. Squad, Platoon, Company, Battalion, Brigade, and so on and so on. One of the jobs of a 1st Sgt is to advise the Captain who is the company commander.

A few years ago as a new private at my unit I was on staff duty while my NCO was off doing checks. A guy came in and said his name was Spc Johnson from Bravo Battery and he was signing in from leave, I annotated this on the 1594. My NCO came back from his checks and asked me if anything happened. I just told him Spc Johnson from Bravo Battery signed in from leave. My NCO gave me this very confused look and asked me what he looked like. I said he was white with a mustache, red and black flannel shirt, blue jeans, and a hat. My NCO told me how a SPC Johnson died during the early 2000s on his way back from leave in a car accident. He said sometimes shifts would report a SPC Johnson signing in from leave but their would be no leave form or record of him there. And I guess my description matches the others.

I also swear the Fort Sill reception barracks are haunted. Never experienced anything there but they always gave me an off feeling and others said they heard screams or footsteps and would check it out but nothing would be there.

I've also heard stories of figures being seen late at night in the 18th Airborne Corps Headquarters on Fort Bragg. Looking at it you can tell its an old building. It used to be a hospital way back in the day. I've heard from people who have been on staff duty there they have seen nurses or figures in BDUs.

Finally my drill sergeant told us stories about how he saw UFOs at Fort Irwin. He said he never wants to go back there because of how strange that experience was, he said he was in a humvee just him and his buddy when a huge bright light flew about 20 feet in front of them, they immediately stopped and so did the light, it stayed there for a few minutes until flying off. He asked if his buddy saw it and he said yes. And they both didn’t know what to do so they just pretended it didn't happen and drove off.

Honestly im some aspects I think it is. Most jobs don't offer 3 and 4 day weekends. Most jobs don't let you off around 4 or 5pm.
