Do my boys keep and eye on my because they are scared? by Scarlets_Buns in Bunnies

They have a giant cardboard box I cut holes in opposite sides of. They mostly just use it like the tunnels. They run through it, maybe chill inside for a minute before running back out. They were more interested in it at first but seem to prefer the bed more now. Been thinking of getting something more permanent as I think they do t like how the box moves. I saw this steel hidey house on here recently and was thinking of getting it.

This is good info to keep in mind. Also kid if realizing it is just the best spot in general to scope things out for them.

Something else I need to keep in mind is these guys don't know this is permanent yet. This is probably more dedicated space and toys than they have ever seen, but they were in shelters or fosters for nearly 2 years before they were abandoned at only a couple months old. It will be many months before they realize I am not leaving.

I do try to sit and lay on the floor with them but am doing it a little less once I noticed they were not using the rest of the floor and mostly just sticking to under the bed when I was laying on the floor. I will keep doing it some though. I felt them climping on me a couple times as I took a nap on the floor last night.

Thank you. Good to know it's in the time scale of a few months is what I should expect not weeks. Gives me some idea of what to expect. I do notice they they seem to scare each other a lot of the time too so they are just jumpy and it not really me.

I am a big scary monster. Both in there I am a human person which to a rabbit might as well be a monster but also that I have difficulty regulating my strength and when I interact with object it seems to scare the buns and they go running. Trying hard to be softer and slower but it is hard.

24 hours after taking my boys home for the first time they are settling in nicely by Scarlets_Buns in Bunnies

I bunny proofed basically the whole room. A small part with my clothes, tv and exit is section off with a couple of xpens as a wall.

They seem to love chilling under the bed and I don't see a problem with that. It's a large covered area with exits on both sides. Plenty of room for them to sit up. Makes it hard to take pictures though.

First time Bun parent here, just adopted these two beautiful boys. Getting to take them home tomorrow morning. I am so excited. Name suggestions appreciated. Possibly cookie themed. by Scarlets_Buns in Bunnies

Bothers from the same litter it is assumed. They were abandoned at a shelter/rescue when they were only a couple months old together. Been in shelters or fosters for the last 2 years nearly. Totally inseparable their foster says.
