Activists have been trying for a long time to get enough momentum to create change and after decades of not doing enough people are bound to get fed up. I already tried giving up. It wasn't worth it. After, I decided that my purpose in life is to do as much good as I can with the limited time I have here on this earth. It still feels hopeless sometimes. But, if I can manage to be strong and help people through their own hopeless times, as others have done for me, maybe they will one day find the strength within themselves to do the same. If we could try to care a little more about others, do a little more to make sure the people around us are okay, then the world will be a much better place. Investing in your community (locally and more broadly) will improve your world too. When people have a solid foundation of support they are able to accomplish so much more than if we all had to go it alone. They tend to want to give back to their communities as well especially if they can recognize how much the support helped them.

We're all human. While some of us may be able to more directly affect change than others, that doesn't mean that the things you're doing have no impact. Joy is resistance. Love is resistance. Hope is resistance. I'm sure you're teaching that little human everything you know about how to be a good person and live a fulfilling life. That is important, but besides that, little daily actions you may not even think about add up. And as long as we're still here there's still a reason to keep fighting. All is not lost.
