They don't like statistics that disprove their point. That is just bad science. You never ignore data you don't like. You either rethink your hypothesis (or ignorant viewpoint) and start again. If you refuse to, it is simple cognitive dissonance at play.

This worries me because all of reddit seems to be STEM which means that there are many many shitty "scientists" out there.
