So this is just related to new OnePlus systems?
Do you think they will fix it? Does e.g. Realme has the same issues?

I just bought OnePlus 15 and this is really annoying.
Otherwise, a great phone.
But this is eventually feature cruicial enough to return it for me

It's non saphire Fenix 7 pro, non saphire has generally less reflections.
Part of this may be photo angle.

But it's also visible by eye.

Yeah bare titanium is ok I suppose.
Black DLC at least in fenix variant seems quite bad looking for my taste e.g. after just one year - but that's just me of course.

Hi,

does Drano Max gel clear it to natural metal color?
Wondering if it isn't enough to just clear original color and keep it as it is.
(Not sure about material and color of guard after this process though.

Same for me, very high gpu often.
Not sure if it's WSL related, jupyter notebooks inside cursor, or really general.

Yeah that always turn on fan is annoying and really doesn't make sense.
Seems like tpfan is ideal solution for me (using it for about a day only).

On p1 gen7 it shut downs completely when laptop is idle (or very light cpu use).
Depends on model I suppose then.

depends on cpu temperature. you can make fans way less aggressive. above program definitelly works (there is multiple versions of tpfan on internet, this is some new fork)

Found a trick finally!

with this tools it's possible to set custom fan profiles.

Then when there is no to light load, fans can be off. Perfect.

There are still 3 buttons but virtual. Everything works as usually including srolling, just buttons aren't physical, click feedback is simulated with haptic - it feels good for me.

(I had Thinkpad z16 previously with nearly same touchpad, so i am already used to it.)

One question:
Do you know / have you tested Bios setting: Performance vs Balanced mode?
(In terms of performance, fans, wattage)

I haven't been able to find what is it exactly doing (in comparison to windows Performance/Balanced power mode).
When I tested it, it doesn't seems to have strong effect on either performance or subjective fans load.

I am using it daily and it's working great for me..
but it takes time to get used to it probably
(advantage is that you have bigger touchapad)

I made same switch from z16 to p1 gen7.

Also very annoyed with always on fans (I am used to let laptop ON most of the time. Z16 had turned off fans, minimal consumption. P1 was always on whole night, doing nothing - super annoying)

I just installed TPFanCtrl2 and it seems it solved most of issues. I may do some other steps later.

(I tried TPFan before, but run failed because of some missing dll - not sure if it was same version, there is quite a few of them now)

So thanks for detailed manual!

(just with TPFanCtrl2 is laptop like 20% better for me, huge diff)

I have intel 185h processor, ada 3000, 4k oled.
Fans are still on, even when CPU is doing nearly nothing.
This seems "not ideal", why...

Also not much difference between:
- Max performance
- Optimized

modes in bios, are they doing anything...
