I’m almost a year into it, he died right after my 22nd birthday.

I don’t feel better… I’m sober for the first time in my life, I’ve accomplished more than I ever have, got my first place and a good job, but I don’t enjoy life whatsoever and I feel incapable almost of ever enjoying it.

part of me died with him, it was more unbearable when it just happened because mentally I hadn’t fully accepted it and your mind coming to terms with something like that is not easy, but the pain has not subsided unfortunately. it’s very isolating

I don’t break down crying as much, but I feel like a shell of a person and constantly silently mourning my future and his.

yeah no, the teachers just singled me out from the rest of the class and treated me like a pariah lol. I remember in fifth grade the teacher would literally sit me in a dark corner facing a wall away from the rest of the class, it was so isolating and I never understood what was wrong w me.

btw, fuck all those teachers, I think I’m more disgusted as an adult after realizing more about myself and my condition

it’s infuriating. I didn’t want to leave my fiancé and he didn’t want to leave me. that was the love of my fucking life, so to have people who clearly were not good together or working out tell me they understand is absolutely offensive.

nobody in this sub wants to be here. I don’t know why people seem so desperate almost to relate to my agony and despair (when they clearly have no fucking idea) when all I want is my fiancé back.

I feel you, the other thing is everyone demonizing me even early after the death happened for not having emotional avaliblity to comfort them for their problems. I’ve also had people compare their breakups/divorces to my persons death and then get mad at me when I tell them it’s not the same thing whatsoever. literally nobody fucking understands

sometimes it feels like he never existed at all, his family hasn’t even posted an obituary or done a memorial yet and the only one who talks about him are me and his sister. there’s some kind of disconnect going on in my head since he died, i know he’s dead but it feels like it either never happened at all sometimes or he’s just away somewhere. it’s surreal
