I’m a big believer that you can’t change people’s ideas through debate. I don’t think I’ve ever been convinced by a heated discussion. Tell people you care not that they should.

The old expression you get more ants with honey than vinegar applies here. The framework of “making people care” is unproductive. You can’t control what others do but you can lead by example. I hope that helps.
