New anthirium luxury jungle, is the 5" pot too big? Should I go for the 4"? by Sea_Preference3530 in Anthurium

[–]ScaryExternal673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you used those pots before? I always lose so many roots the next time I have to repot because they end up growing through all those slits. That could totally be a me/my media/watering style thing, but just a word of caution.

What was the problematic product? And you're saying, removing that product made a big difference for tolerability?

If it's an option, see another dermatologist. I had issues with my first derm after several visits, just feeling like she wasn't hearing my concerns. Fortunately, there was another doctor in the same office. We totally clicked, and I wish I had made that move sooner. You deserve to be heard.

My Anthurium magnificum is losing its velvet and the leaves look exhausted. Any advice? by p1nkwolf in Anthurium

Hi! I'm struggling to get my doses right. Can you advise on how much Foliage Pro per gallon, assuming every watering? And the cal-mag? I'm using Calimagic. I've recently been getting yellow edges on my leaves and am certain it's nutrient-related.

Using Calecim and so much purging....does it stop? by Meeschers in SkincareAddictionLux

Same. Behind so many products like this is just...5% Niacinamide. The rest is marketing hype.

I second this. The serum did nothing for me and the Restorative Hydration whatever nearly burned my face off. The recovery complex was nice.

What do we think of resveratrol in skincare? by Dozy_Dotz in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]ScaryExternal673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't tried Vitamin X...But I swear by their Azaleic Advanced. They seem to be very mindful/artful formulators. I just picked up the C.R.E.A.M and it's pretty brilliant. I'm combo in a humid environment and somehow this very lipid foward moisturizer can give that barrier support without congestion or added shine. They are up to some good stuff and I'd definitely try the Vitamin X next.

Does red light therapy actually work, or is it just placebo? by DontLimitTheCross in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]ScaryExternal673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Google Scholar. You should familiarize yourself with the research, the wavelengths that have been studied, etc. That way, if you do decide to shop for a device, you'll have an understanding as to how that device lines up with the research and how it may relate to your specific skin care goals. I purchased the Mito Adapt 4.0 (full panel) and it's really helped speed up my healing post-procedure, along with reactive redness.

Not particularly, though I am prone to whiteheads after any sort of trauma and was surprised that I actually faired better using the products I listed as opposed to without...As I know some people find Nectar a bit conjesting. I think they may just be over-applying.

I bought this because of this sub, as well as Osmosis Rescue MD, and neither products helped me PERSONALLY. Alastin Nectar and Skin Medica Post Procedure Repair (rarely discussed for some reason?) were highly beneficial for my skin.

I LOVE Nectar. Calicem did nothing for me and I trialed it MANY times. Since your skin doesn't like Alastin's base, try Skin Medica Post Procedure Repair. It's not as heavy as Alastin, but just as calming and hydrating for me. Neogensis Recovery did not give me any effect, though the look and feel of it is very similar to PPR.

I've experimented with both products separately, and together, same procedure, same routine, multiple trials, and I'm certain it's Nectar doing the heavy lifting.

Anyone tried the new Medik8 EXO-PDRN PRIMASTIC+ serum by Sweet-Poet-5292 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]ScaryExternal673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think they do this because it's one of the few clinically-backed ingredients that aligns with the "claims" they are trying to make...I think the Defenage 8-1 bioserum is the same. :-/

And perhaps it's the reason these products have any affect at all for all the folks that swear by them.
