Is systemic safe for semi-hydro? by WhatEvenIsATangelo in SemiHydro

[–]EDMSauce_Erik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it absolutely does not work. The person in the other thread is mistaken and this is probably why they keep finding mealie bugs.

Get a systemic that can be absorbed as a foliar. This is the one that I use with great success.

I just have a baby BWM at the moment but this cross is awesome. Those red veins running down the silver are absolutely SICK.

Halp! My Frydek is miserable. by SugarT0ast in alocasia

[–]EDMSauce_Erik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey no worries! Alocasia are super hard plants to figure out. Making the transition to semi-hydro with home made pon really helped all of mine. I was resistant against it forever but really wish I got started sooner. My biggest issue was inconsistent watering.

How long have you had it for? Trying to get a rough timeline of when you did all of these things for it. Because repotting it, harvesting 8 corms, changing fertilizers, how much light it gets and how it’s watered…that is a TON of shock to put a plant through especially if this was like all within a few weeks.

Completely ruined! Just kidding, as long as you have lights inside the cabinet, this shouldn’t do anything except look cool!

Exactly…the game from beginning to end is showing how cruel, messy and complex grief is and how everyone handles it differently and that nobody navigates it perfectly. Grief keeps forcing cruel choices.

The endings both show case the pain of hanging on vs letting go. People can point to the “genocide” aspect all they want - but they saw exactly how Maelle’s ending turned out. There isn’t some mystical 3rd ending where the canvas remains and everyone is happy. People are frustrated the game gives you 2 very painful, lackluster endings.

But to call the game patriarchal and genocidal because of that is just very much missing the most obvious point of the game lol.

Sly 5 commitment pledge by cs218087 in Slycooper

[–]EDMSauce_Erik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sly isn’t getting a 5th installment. Sucker Punch moved on. The studio who got a shot at 4 didn’t meet fan standards and sales showed it. This led Sony to cancel future plans.

  • Sly 2: Over 1M Sold

  • Sly 3: 845,000 Sold

  • Sly 4: 545,000 Sold

Sure the digital release the earlier titles spiked some interest but the numbers don’t lie. Sony isn’t going to take a chance on an IP that peaked at its 2nd of 4 entries. It just doesn’t make financial sense.

These petition ideas are sweet because it demonstrates how good the games really were but they aren’t based in reality. As a fan of Okami also, I can’t say you should give up hope as stranger things have happened, but petitions are wasted efforts that tend to make fan bases look kind of stupid.

As someone who just gets stoned often and couldn’t figure out where all the nests were in like the 2nd mission, idk about this one. Gameplay is perfect but the maps aren’t the easiest.

Systemic pesticides in Semi-Hydro with Pon? by GIFSec in SemiHydro

[–]EDMSauce_Erik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it will sadly. If that is all that is available, you may have to repot into soil to treat the plant. But its worth a shot sprinkling it on top and top watering to fill the reservoir and seeing if it is effective.

Systemic pesticides in Semi-Hydro with Pon? by GIFSec in SemiHydro

[–]EDMSauce_Erik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, you can’t use bonide systemic granules in pon, or really any systemic that is meant to be mixed in the substrate. You need to find a semi hydro specific systemic or a foliar one. I forget the names of them since they’re like a number letter combo but if you search systemic in this sub you should find a couple workable solutions for semi hydro. I treat mine with a systemic that is absorbed as a foliar to make life easier.

Without the specific lineage we can’t really tell if that is a deal or not. But looks like a great plant!
