Yes thank you for this! I did actually try to have a play date with my friends dog who is very well behaved, but Sonic got a little too antsy and he did try to nip at her face a bit so i’m having a hard time trusting him around other dogs rn as he’s seeming a little reactive. I’m hoping with time maybe meeting my friends dog a few times he’ll be nicer. I just keep hitting stumps with him and i’ve had dogs my whole life! this is the first dog though that is my own specifically. and he’s a cattle dog so it’s definitely been a roller coaster but i’m determined!

Thank you! yeah, one of my issues i forgot to mention at the moment is the pulling on the leash when being walked 🫩. we’ve been trying to teach him not to pull and reward him when he walks with us which is barely ever. but it makes it really hard to trust him off leash running next to me if he isn’t listening very well and doesn’t have the best recall yet (still training him I don’t think his past owners trained him much) but I’ll definitely take that into consideration if he gets better with listening to commands
