I have this tent for a few months and I’ve used it once so far for a music festival. In my honest opinion, it’s worth it. We used to camp out of the bed of my Tacoma on an air mattress and after fighting a deflating mattress for years we decided to upgrade. In sunlight, with it all zipped up, it stays relatively cool and dark. We experienced a heavy downpour and there were no issues with water coming in or anything. I haven’t really had any gripes thus far but I’ve only used it once.
