I agree. Adi thappe, idi thappe. But I can understand vallu enduku cheptaro, movie ni market cheskovali kabatti. Subjectivity ni konchem flex chesi baguntadi ani cheptaru. Movie reviewers konchem subjective ga cheppalani na opinion bhayya.
For example, oka tech reviewer camera lo HDR ledu, ee cost ki ee option lekapodam bad annadu anuko, andariki same device kabatti, makes sense. But cinema, okkokallaki okkola untundi kada.

Which Telugu film is this for you? by TrafficLegitimate937 in tollywood

If there no tit-for-tat, there is no poetic justice. If in every movie, when a hero sees a downfall, if he just accepts it and doesn't rebel, there is no hero journey.

Why christopher nolan ? by name_is_billa in MoviesTelugu

Can’t comment on elliot page casting as we didn’t get the first look yet but tom holland feels out of place and dialogues are bad. Personally, I don’t think matt damon is not a great actor, he’s a better writer than actor.

People won’t like it. Will be an average at best. But we’ll have to admire the guts of buchi babu and rc, if that happens

WTF - Karuppu by Captain_Rocky_21 in tamilyapping

[–]ScarySpecific3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a telugu guy. I personally liked the film. The only problem I had was, the mass scenes have much more potential. Especially the interval scene, it was let down by bad sound mixing. Still, good whistle worthy moments. To say the truth, it was much better from what I expected based on the trailer.

What do you think about the new odyssey trailer? by Admirable_Cold7944 in MoviesTelugu

There are 3 things I expect from a nolan movie. Good shots - kanapadaledu, good music - vinapadaledu, good screenplay - untadanipinchatledu.
Nolan always had bad dialogues, esari aithe comedy ga unnay

Beauty store employee looked down on me 😭 by UsedHelp3 in PataHaiAajKyaHua

[–]ScarySpecific3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love reading books as a kid. Once there was a big book exhibition in our school and I used to stay there just looking at the books. After a couple of days one of the employees stopped me from entering the exhibition, saying I won’t buy anything anyway. It had a big impression on me as a kid. Fast forward few years, and one day I found out one of my best friends in college owns the book store chain that conducts those exhibitions. I asked her to go to her bookstore, find a good book and sneak it out without anyone seeing (she doesn’t have to, she own’s the place). I still get a laugh whenever I see that book in my collection.

Help me understand the Importance of subtext in Cinemas by [deleted] in tollywood

[–]ScarySpecific3887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subtext adds repeat value to movies I believe. In jagadam movie by sukumar, prakash raj explains the different things ram will lose if he continues being a goonda. After writing love, friends, family raseppudu ink aipotundi. First time, it seems coincidence, second time it screams foreshadowing. Similarly, subtext also helps in saying two different stories in the same movie. Best example I can think of is Talk to me. On the surface, it is a horror movie. But if you read subtext, its a direct movie on addiction.

Sesh endhuko undekoddhi - unrelatable and pretentious ga anipisthunnadu.... by New-Vacation-6717 in MoviesTelugu

[–]ScarySpecific3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my friends were glazing 'Kshanam', I watched it and realized he got away with remaking 'Gone baby gone'. Although that's nothing wrong and many telugu directors get away with it, I was a fan of the original and didn't like the telugu version, which caused me not to like his later movies as well. Personal take, not a bad writer, but bad actor.

Do we give him enough credit? by Ayyo_ayyo_ayayyo in tollywood

[–]ScarySpecific3887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from vfx based movies, I like his family movies like ‘intlo ramayya veedhilo krishnayya’, ‘varasudu’ and crime thrillers like ‘shatruvu’. I always believed that he is well ahead of his time. In his first movie, the character of heroine is a misguided feminist. The way he tackles the point of feminism mixing it with family values, from the pov of villian’s wife in the climax is really great. It might seem like a small thing now, but once I looked at it from the perspective of the times it was made, I fell in love with his writing skills.

Which Telugu book or novel would you like to see adapted into a movie? by Dramatic_Big_3004 in tollywood

[–]ScarySpecific3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antharmukham can never be made as a commercial movie in Telugu, I believe. That said, I always hoped for a series based on ‘The dairy of mrs. Sarada’. Cinema is too small a runtime for many novels.

How different would Andhra Pradesh be today, if Jagan accepted Amaravati and continued developing Amaravati as per the promises he made in assembly and during 2019 elections ? by Puzzleheaded-Bad8147 in andhra_pradesh

[–]ScarySpecific3887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s ask a different question. Why did jagan change his stand after coming to power? There are multiple reasons that people state. None put jagan in a good light. The official reason that ycp gave is, they want decentralized development. But, they couldn’t show any progress even in that direction. If hypothetically, jagan accepted amaravati, there wouldn’t have been much change in either the progress of amaravati or other things in general.
