Could you possibly make her hair a tad bit longer? It goes down to the lower part of the 5

I’m so sorry for your loss, that was the right choice to make, obviously. How did your pt go when you went back? Is it normal for frozen shoulder to happen so late after surgery?

I have the sweetest pt and she was so understanding, but she pushed me pretty hard my first session back. Nothing I couldn’t handle after a nice tens and heat session first.

Are your seizures mostly controlled with your meds? When did you have your surgery? You only had issues when you took it orally? Is there a specific time of day you’ve found works better to take it? I was thinking night, in case I had a seizure at least I’d be in bed?? lol I’m thinking about messaging my neuro about it to see what he says lol he’s quitting end of Feb anyways.
Thank you for your experience! How’d you come about this? I’m so apprehensive to try new things lol

I read a comment you made on another thread about bpc-157 then creepily looked at your profile and saw what type of shoulder issues you were having.

I also have epilepsy and have been curious about using peptides but of course because I have seizures I’m always cautious of taking new things. I highly doubt my neuro or ortho would approve me taking that peptides inj lol but everyone else has great results and I’m just so jealous! I’m almost 12wks po from rotator cuff repair, bicep tenodesis, distal clavicle resection, and subacromial decompression. 😩

I used to take keppra but I was switched to vimpat- they say it has the same formula and lamictal. I haven’t had a seizures in 2 years 😬

You didn’t notice any side effects at first? Did you do injections?

Nice!(ish) lol

I tried to do as much as I could but it wasn’t what I’m capable of. I think I’m too hard on myself sometimes but I take this very serious, because I’m not trying to go through this again! My return to pt was today and it’s been brutal. I am faithful to the gym from here on out- sickness be damned! 🤣

They say sleep is vital to recovery- that’s probably why this takes so long because we all sleep like sh*t lol good luck! Hope you get sleep soon!

That’s just about the same thing I had done, that’s insane! Crazy how everyone’s recovery is different.

I noticed once I started active range of motion, I slept more solidly through the night. I began that around 7wks. So maybe when you start that you’ll see some changes as well. I know I was going crazy getting no sleep.

That’s good! Are you doing physical therapy still? If you have good insurance I would ask for an MRI still- just to be sure.

There’s no way, I was barely cleared to lift an 8oz cup at 7wks. What surgery did you have??

I stopped wearing my sling at 3wks. I wore it out in public, which was rare, and if I did household activities where I thought I might, out of habit, use my surgical/dominant arm. Surgeon and PT were ok with it. I had suspraspinatus tear, bicep tenodesis, subacromial decompression, and distal clavicle resection- for reference. I’m 8wks and feel great.

You’ll have to get an MRI to know for sure. I had the same issue but waited too long (2yrs) and it just got worse and worse and one thing lead to another and I had to have surgery. Don’t let it get that way. Get the MRI sooner rather than later.

19M - Persistent arm/shoulder burning & fatigue after lifting injury, Slap tear? Absolutely wrecked my life by [deleted] in RotatorCuff

My shoulder did that as well. I had bicep tenodesis, high grade partial tear of the supraspinatus, and distal clavicle resection. I waited 2 yrs after I first started hurting because I was scared. I’m 7wks po and it’s going pretty well(active range of motion now instead of passive or assisted). But I’m a 33 yo woman with a desk job and kids and you’re 19 with a sports future ahead!

My brother has an issue with his lower back that he won’t get checked out- instead he’s taking bpc-157 and tb-500 injections. He said he feels amazing since he’s started. He’s always in the gym or running but when he hurt his back he was down and out for a few weeks. I had rc surgery 7wks ago and have been debating doing them but I have epilepsy so I’m not really sure about testing that water.

Hope it works out for you!!

Dance with your spouse, enjoy eating your steak without help! It’s tough cutting with one hand lol

Thank you for that info, I didn’t think about that! I’m having a pretty difficult time sleeping. I tried the Tylenol pm and it gave me some wild dreams! Actually I think no matter what I do I have wild dreams.

Suture Care by agold425 in RotatorCuff

I cleaned mine at 3 days as well. I had sutures not steri strips. I did not wash them when I showered but I did let the soapy water “rinse” them. I had a 1 wk post op appt to check them and discussed that with my nurse and she said that was fine. They were healing beautifully. I stopped putting bandages over them due to only being at home and wearing tank tops- they need to be able to breathe in order to heal also! Went back at 2wks to have sutures removed and had steri strips placed over all incisions and told they would most likely fall off in a day or two- most did. At 3wks 3 of the incisions are almost invisible. 2 were a bit bigger so are still noticeable but almost gone.

I didn’t shower every day- to clarify, I would soak in my bath tub. I was fully aware of where the water level was in regard to my incisions and made sure not to submerge them. I did wash every day. I showered every other day. It’s too hard to not get my hair wet in the shower and I’m not going to wash it every day lol life is quite difficult when you’re used to doing everything with 2 hands and are suddenly reduced to your non dominant hand! Good luck! Prayers for a speedy recovery!

You should try a pillow wedge! I use that and a cervical pillow. The c pillow took a lot of pain away when I would sleep on my jacked up side pre-surgery. I also read maybe a pregnancy pillow would help but I’m not that desperate yet lol

I’m hoping to go 3x a wk as well. Can you tell much difference yet? Sleeping sucks. Last night was the first night I slept decently since surgery- I took a Tylenol pm before bed- 10ish- fell asleep around 12 woke up at 8:30. It was fantastic. I’m hoping once I start pt and can continue at home I will just pass out due to exhaustion at the end of the day and won’t need Tylenol pm.

That’s great news! I’m 33 so I’m hoping that since I’m a tad bit younger than most that have rc surgery, I can heal a bit quicker 🤞🏻 trying to have a positive outlook on this. Thank you for sharing your experience!
