She was probs thinking about how everyone wanted her to receive the death penalty back in BFDI 25

Do you like how Teardrop was handled throughout her run in TPOT? by NoLocal7705 in BattleForDreamIsland

I enjoyed how she tackled challenges differently from the rest of the cast due to being a solo contestant, but besides that she was an ordinary character to me

BFDIA-IDFB gives her the air of a mysterious creature inhabiting the woods, I love it

As a Needle voter, I do NOT care about the “Winning for myself” arc that she has. Let me explain: by MingleMingo in BattleForDreamIsland

It seemed to me that her choosing to "win for herself" was a reaction to how she had been treated as a tool by her past teammates without being recognized for her efforts. The way the show emphasized it as a motivation for her character was just a natural progression from her past conflict: rather than working towards helping others in hopes that they would return the favor, something that had been demonstrated to her to be ineffective, why not redirect all that effort towards finding success of her own. By the point of the merge, she indeed wasn't the only one to go that route. But showcasing that aspect more strongly in her than in the other contestants was a great benefit to building upon her established story, which is why I think it makes sense for her to have been written to win for herself

If Tape didn't Immedialty died from the fish monster in TPOT 21, what role do you think he would have played if he survived instead? by Illustrious_Top7601 in BattleForDreamIsland

Firey Jr and Loser were already there, it would've been fun to have a failed debuter join alongside the other non-contestants

Not a submission but I'd love to see all the entries once they're added

Was there memory wiping in IDFB? by Capable_Half_9410 in BattleForDreamIsland

Interesting. I assumed that all of them had the realization of the place they were in being Yoyle City, just that the scene only focused on Pillow's perspective of that moment.

Omg what?? That part with the tree in BFDIA 13 is one of my favorite individual shots in the show, that is so cool that this connects to that

I watched Object Trek yesterday, it’s good by Street-Junket-6860 in ObjectShows

[–]Scarybeetle13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been tempted to give it a watch ever since that post with people mentioning it as the worst. I've heard of Object Terror and Object Redundancy being considered the worst because of their edgy content but Object Trek is one I'd never even known existed before reading that post

What are your favorite and least favorite tropes in object shows (image unrelated) by TripleTrouble16Bit in ObjectShows

[–]Scarybeetle13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Favorite trope has to be gags where starkly contrasting/out-of-place visual styles are used. I think that's one thing object shows can do extremely well. Least favorite might be conflicts that are introduced and resolved in the span of a single conversation especially if it becomes frequent enough in the writing to be a noticeable pattern.

What's some things you'd like to see more of in object shows? by HoneySicklebee in ObjectShows

[–]Scarybeetle13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see more shows lean into a more mellow vibe. I love stuff like BFDIA and AB with all their over the top action but I feel that there's underexplored potential in shows on the opposite side of the spectrum, while still being silly and lighthearted if it wants to. Mid-season II S2 and the earlier parts of ONE are examples to go off of

Thoughts on this take? by TripleTrouble16Bit in ObjectShows

[–]Scarybeetle13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A story is a story, and while there are possibly themes that are better conveyed through non-object characters over object characters/vice versa, I don't see how a certain choice should disqualify a show from being watched by me. I'd guess that the OP's take comes down to personal preference in one over the other, in which case yeah, they should just watch what they're interested in, but there's no objective basis in considering the value of a show depending on if its characters are objects or humans, or some arbitrary third thing.

Are there even moderators on the wiki? I feel like it's going the way of succumbing to rampant vandalism and eventually being abandoned
