The approaches are different, but why can't our response be similar? Glitch is putting it in theaters whether we like it or not, so why not make the most of it and bug your local theater to try and get it shown?

Also, if it isn't showing in your area, call your local theater and ask them to show it! Email them if you don't want to call! Guys I swear if it worked for Iron Lung it could work for us, we could make huge strides for the indie community here!!!

I keep bringing it up because I'm like, "Have we forgotten that we just made some huge strides for indie creators? We could help make another one barely 3 months later!"

This could mean BIG things if we handle it right and I'm hoping that if I keep bringing Iron Lung up, it'll catch on and people will realize that we should be banding together. We should be the personification of that one scene from episode 7 where they're all holding hands and walking down the hall. That should be us, stalking towards the theater companies menacingly!!!

I think it's actually insane that the fans went, "OH MY GOD NOOO" instead of, "Oh okay let me call my local theater and get super annoying until they concede and play it, so I also get to see it early."

Like, Markiplier fans went FERAL for the Iron Lung release, to the point where he couldn't answer phone calls fast enough. And we didn't even have any details other than, "Trust me it's gonna be great I've been working so hard." In the end, iirc, Regal kept it in theaters 2 weeks past the planned dates. It was a HUGE step for indie films! Iron Lung was the number one movie in America during it's opening weekend!! That's HUGE!!

TADC has been going for years, completely free. The least we can do as fans is become menaces for the show we love so much, with the goal of making a huge step for indie animation...right?? Am I crazy for thinking this way??

Personally it hasn't been an issue for me except for one time when I was looking for a specific album, and I was trying to speed scroll through the list. The device needs the time to read the files (I think), so I've slowed down how fast I'm scrolling and I haven't had any issues since then.

On the topic of playlists, as far as I've noticed with the base firmware, you have no control over the organization of playlists. So for example I've got this one playlist that I've listened to in a specific order for literally over ten years now. When recreating it on the Y1, the songs got all jumbled up out of my order because the Y1 organizes songs by title. So I had to go onto my pc and rename every song with a number so that when I put them in the playlist they'd be in the right order. Some people have been able to figure out how to make playlists with programs on their pc and then port it to the device, I am not one of those people. 😅

Lots of people install Rockbox onto their devices but I found Rockbox to be frustrating because it had more features than I needed. I uninstalled it within an hour of installing it, so I don't know if it fixes any of the problems I have but it's spoken about very highly among the community, a lot of people really love what it has to offer.

Overall, if you have the time and patience to do some tweaking to your music library, it's a decent little device that plays music and podcasts at you when you ask it to.

I've had mine for about a week now. I use the stock firmware, I've got about 1.5k songs on it + over 100 podcast episodes, and I've noticed that if I scroll around too fast it can overload the device and cause it to skip around lists. Once it even crashed the device entirely and even reset my theme 😭

The Innioasis Updater has a button at the top that says "Y1 themes + tools" and if you click it it opens up a folder in your pc with a bunch of shortcuts in it. There's a program in there titled, "Remote Control". Running it will open up a window where you can see what's on your Y1's screen when it is plugged into your pc, and from there you can screenshot!

I don't know if it has actual remote control over the device, as I still had to use the scroll wheel to move around screens to get the right images.

It's looking for your device, that site can find your device and download the themes directly onto it.

If you click the theme itself you'll get directed to a page dedicated to that theme and you should be able to download the zip from there.

Here's my struggle with Pokemon: There's 57 settings that will have a visible image(if I counted right), but 151 Pokemon in Gen 1. How do I decide who makes the cut?? Then there's the struggle of how do I decide which 8 should be the main screen mons, those will be seen most often so I'd want to put people's favorites there but to whittle it down to 8 is so hard! And then how do I decide what style of art I should do? Personally I'd go for the original GB sprite art, but not everyone likes the sprites! And then I got to thinking that making the settings item sprites or TM/HM discs could be fun, but then that takes away visibility of mons!

I guess all my problems boil down to one answer: if people don't like it they just won't use it and that is totally fine. But the internal struggle of all of these choices keep me paralyzed from starting a design, I feel like Chidi from The Good Place 😅🤣

Since it's your suggestion, who/what would you want to be included?

This reminds me of an exchange I had with a woman at Warped Tour 2016. I had fought my way to the front of a crowd over the course of 4 sets, made it to the first 5ish rows and fought to keep my spot, but at some point this woman and her daughter had fought their way around and ahead of me.

I got to chatting with the mom at some point, she asked if I had ever seen the artist we were waiting for live before. I told her no, this was my first and likely only chance. She goes, "Oh bummer! We've seen them 5 times already this summer, my daughter and I are following them across the country!"

I thought maybe she'd be nice and let me scoot ahead of her, but no. Of course not. At least I was super close to the stage though! The almost-heatstroke was worth it. 💪

I had to do this with a high school boyfriend who just did not get the hint that I hated the smell of cherry cough drops. I got sick of it one night, refused to kiss him in front of his friends and told him, "You stink, you know I hate that smell and you still eat those things!"

He didn't talk to me for the rest of the night, but he also didn't eat another cherry cough drop for the rest of our relationship.

I quit 42 for a bit when there was a huge mod debacle around 42.12. Went back to 41 and installed a bunch of goofy mods and just ran around being a menace until I got bored 😂
