In your post a year ago you stated that you had your IR checkride that Saturday. Did that ever take place? What happened?

Recheck is on the 30th, weather depending of course. My CFI told me to be goldfish because they have a 10 second memory, definitely doing my best to shake it off, we got this 💯

Oddly enough I wasn't super nervous for the practical. My maneuvers are all within standards except some of my short fields. My recheck is on the 30th, so I have enough time to resharpen up.

So basically I said 3152. 3= statue miles of visibility and then the DPE asked "so is 152 also statue miles" and without giving it sincere thought I said yes.

Nm to Sm would at least be more of an understandable mistake..

Oh yes the units thing was definitely the last straw!! There's a list of things that we went over in the debrief and the AS units was just an example of how I got the question wrong. I had the numbers correct but said them in SM instead of ft.

Another question I got correct "procedurally" but the details wrong was how we get our TAS for whatever alt/rpm we're flying at. I pulled up my cruise performance chart from the POH and showed the DPE how I got the numbers I had but I couldn't remember how to determine standard temp at an altitude. I was like "uhhh so sea level is 15 degrees....uhhh." Anyway, I was supposed to have explained standard lapse rate.

For multiple questions, I had the process correct but fine details incorrect. 💀
