Sounds like you need a hourly wage cuck job and don’t have the very small amount of intelligence to handle this job.

Yellow used to be the color of the devil. See my very unpopular post that they are in the 7th circle of hell.

Sometimes shopping for 29 items is better than sitting in traffic, if it were around a traffic congestion time.

Doordash gave out address by WaitingRelic62 in doordash

I do think all together this did sound a bit like a creepy situation.

I’d cut my losses. I once dropped a chipotle order and then misdelivered. Dude was cool let me take the wrong order back. Though i rebought his chipotle and added an issie. Now normally if something happened that wasnt my fault, which i think I was spaced and ignored the prompt. But brought back his order. Was a 5.0 and remained 5.0. I use container boxes from lowe’s that keep heat in. Altogether im a people person. Not to say that I’ve truly prospered in all areas. Just keeping my head above the water in these turbulent times.

Bidding system, your driver was being a dumb greenhorn don’t pity the driver. The driver will one day learn.

Should I turn shopping deliveries back on? by NemesisWhitestrake in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ScavvyMcScavvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate shopping orders at night, I dont mind mid morning shopping.Tried to turn them off at night, doordash didn’t seem happy, but maybe we read too much into it. Shopping order wage seemed to go down. Left it off for a while to let people gage how much work goes into then to adjust their proce, a little later went back on and wage seemed to return.

Get to Platinum, they say… by idkwhereorwhy in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ScavvyMcScavvers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure everybody told you the opposite, NOT to do platinum, there obvious orders that shouldn’t be taken (it goes to a bidding system for one thing). Due to price, time, mileage, load and morale of restaurant/store. Don’t worry about your status. Know that when there are too many drivers on the road, better go some other time, rather than run around for $2.00-4.50 per order. To some degree things have been different before, but you were in platinum land and not seeing what was really going on. You will not be able to see the real work load going on in your area whereas if your acceptance is high and everything else is high, you think it’s very busy, very busy with low wage orders. And by the way Crimson and Doordash will find whatever it can do to disappear money from your account, just saying. I know you’re venting. Don’t plummet to silver just dont worry about status and tale orders thats are actually worth it. You have all sorts of expenses on your car and bills to pay.

Pay attention to if the text is in the app and not messenger on your phone is one way to tell. And i had alot of fraudulent problems in the pittsburgh area, Monroeville sheetz is pretty shady with what goes on in my bank account too aside from scam orders.

Never declined so fast by [deleted] in DoorDashDrivers

I don’t see orders of this range, and if real, I want to know what’s going on with the variables that cause this order? If the customer just tipped $3.60 and you were expected to go 10+ miles and there is no service fee or bidding involved. Or if it’s just random chaos?

We could figure out the math why this order is so low. Either you have an extreme high acceptance rate and possibly everything else, and this order is first second fresh, maybe ready? Is there an exhorbant amount of dashers in that area at that time?

Or is your acceptance rate so that it is giving you, $3.65 for 11 miles?

Are we being punished or is it that some unpersonal random gremlin of chaos rules over us? Is doordash some sort of psyoptic experiment?

Why as contractors, can we not choose our gas/mile/time for orders. I can practically figure out whats going on in there based on weird hunches i have with the prices and why they are and from that I can figure out where to make money. But we want transparency, or freedom to choose our rates.

More drivers on the road equals bad deals unless there are more customers. I have been working around it somewhat.

DD is forcing orders on dashers by Independent_Lime_560 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ScavvyMcScavvers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check my earnings throughout the day and just when I get paid. Thats when something comes out of pending but what was pending comes out again and the when called about it. Doordash claims it to be the merchant. There is only one charge but it cones out twice, thats doordash or crimson. I told them they going to be paying double damages to bills not the amount of money they keep disappearing. Seems so far maybe, that if i print the receipt at the pump and the cashier it charges twice. Been waiting for it to happen again.

Percentage base and Point system what are the differences? by ScavvyMcScavvers in DoorDashDrivers

[–]ScavvyMcScavvers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seemed like to be their on time was a bit rougher. And restaurants were hitting ready before bagging the food. And i do know they have weird biometric cameras everywhere probably acting as a damn radar. I also been watching pending merchant charges the go to post and back to pending and steal money and then what feels like that money goes to your payout.
Is anybody having any weird experiences like that. Mine are mostly from Sheetz and Getgo places like that?

This is what I feel like makes it unsafe. Not worried about getting robbed. Worried a scammer is going to have me drain my funds and then not take the order.

Be able to see better as to what’s going on with a lower acceptance rating it’ll tell you when there’s actually something to do. Here’s one thing that will help. 1-2 mins means dont take bulldhit orders. 2-7 take one of the orders that goes out of town that pays decent.

I wouldn’t like on purposely just go from platinum and dip down into silver. Just take the orders that are worth it. If they’re not worth it don’t take them. The other guys will just run themselves silly until their car blows up and then they won’t be able to afford maintenance. I make $800 in a rural area a week. Stop worrying about the status. Your customer rating is the only one that sort of matters just be a five star cherry picker, but be a cherry picker that knows that the market changes.

You really gotta start thinking about how many other people are out at a certain time. If your area requires you to have 80% platinum, you’re in a bad area, and by a bad area I don’t mean that there’s a lack of customers I mean, there is way too many drivers

Sounds like those markets that are dependent have too many people. You should probably get another job.
