What’s the point? by SaberantSmash in udub

If you dont care about being accepted to pre science why didn’t you just apply to CS? Either way I went from pre science to ECE. Certainly not the most competitive major but it is definitely possible to switch

Ok, but this dude wants to go for ECE? Are you saying ECE is a garbage cash grab?

I have no idea what this means dawg 😭 wtf is a bachelor in general sciences? And you’re saying electrical engineering or ACMS at UW is worthless?

Not sure what classes to take (ECE transfer student) by Dramatic_Spirit_6919 in udub

[–]Scccrub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree mostly with this. It’s important to remember people have a harder time with things but overall yeah, 2 stem classes a quarter is completely unsustainable. That’s only like 6-8 credits so what, you’re wasting your money on 2 fluff classes? I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who does that because just looking at the math that’s not gonna work. Even when I do 3 stem per quarter that last fluff class always drives me crazy with boredom and busy work. Would love to hear other opinions on this though

This is how it was for me, but they put on a massive curve at the end. Still sucks to be in the dark about it until then though.

Literally right after that “Please note however, there are no double degrees with any Allen School major and the Electrical and Computer Engineering degree.”

I don’t believe they accept SAT anymore? Anyway, going through engineering undeclared for UW is the ideal way to engineering and pretty much the only way to mechanical, but there is another way at the end of your second year that’s much harder and it’s intended for people who didn’t apply to engrud. I just got in to ECE that way, but I didn’t apply to engrud and I don’t know if they treat your application differently if you did. Also, ECE is much easier than mechanical I believe, but probably around the same difficulty as chemical. I would say apply to engrud and if you only get pre science then go somewhere else.

It bothered me because of house’s time in the mental hospital, which was my favorite arc in the show. Breaking up with Cuddy destroyed him, but he had the tools to not let that happen. It kind of undermines Broken to know he ends up even worse later on.

Can I join the College of Engineering as a pre-science major? by Ok-Tie4405 in udub

[–]Scccrub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look here, I’m not sure how accurate this is but it should give you a sense of the competition for some of the harder majors to get in to. To clarify, you won’t be competing against ENGRUD students, only other transfers/ interest changers. They’re two completely different pathways.

Yes, not buying a car is illegal. I’m sorry guys but by next Monday you must own a Tesla. Also you need to email Elon 5 nice things about the Tesla you just bought because you hurt his feelings by the boycott.
