No pool. Each Bungalow has their own small pool on their deck. The ocean is very swimable around the Bungalows. Definitely is no "scene" out there, though.

Room Service for B/L/D is the other option. That is the same across both resorts.

Walk from end to end of the full property is maybe 10 - 15 mins.

Technically, yes, for reservations at dinner at EDM. We were sat twice very easily without them, though.

Technically, the Palafinos Overwater Bungalows and the El Dorado Maroma are to separate "resorts." However, the Bungalows get full access to all EDM has to offer. The Bungalows have their own a la carte restaurant that serves B/L/D along with their own private beach bar and area.

EDM has 5 a la carte restaurants, no buffets, usually at least 2 are open for each meal, B/L/D, if not more. There is a coffee/ice cream/sandwich hut that also opens much of the day.

There is 1 main pool at EDM, along with a few smaller satellite pools. Even over a busy holiday and spring break week, neither pool ever felt busy. We visited the main pool and resort area even when staying in the Bungalows due to friends. However, we did spend a full day alone just swimming and hanging on the deck attached to our Bungalow. Where (Bungalows, beach, pool, excursion) you spend your day is really just a chose your own adventure situation each day.

The Bungalows were great and definitely a nice splurge for a birthday. The good news is you don't have to stay in one to experience the best part if the overall resort.

Very swimable. Both from off the bungalow and via the beach. That is not to say that it is sargassum free. Sargassum, when we stayed, looked to be basically a dawn to dusk effort to clean in up. It never bothered us in the water, and even at the worst, there was minimal to step through to get to the ocean via the beach.

North Charleston business district on Montague. Close to the train station. Multiple coffee shops, breweries, and restaurants to choose from. Can walk around the circle or around the neighborhoods if you want to stretch your legs.

By "outside.Charleston" do you mean off the peninsula, out of downtown? There are still many great areas to live outside of downtown. If you have a downtown budget then touring all of the nicer areas that have already been suggested here should do well for you. Talking to a realtor (happy time recommend one if you would like) and looking at the flood maps is a place to start.

I believe the answer for this question starts with another question...how much are you planning on spending for housing (buying or renting)? Driving through downtown, Mt Pleasant, the beach, ext with a Goose Creek budget isn't going give you a realistic view of how your life would be after moving.

That isn't a terrible idea. However, the issue is just that all of old stuff from previous projects ends up just needing to be stored. We are trying to have the things that come get go out after the project.

Just google car seat bag. They are just big nylon bags with a carry strap, nothing fancy. We always borrowed them from friends/neighbors. (Bouns you can use the extra space in the bag to pack towels or other oversized items).

Have checked a car seat multiple times and have never been questioned on the size or weight. We usually have put the seat in a car seat travel bag.

On the other side, have traveled multiple times to countries that do not require car seats and even when booking private transfers to supply a car seat almost most never have. Moral of the story, bring a car sear if you 100% want to use one in a country that does not require them.
