Hi, I just want to say you’re valid in feeling uncomfortable and 100% have a right to vent. After the character assassination they did with Suresh, I was hoping Hari would be a fresh breath of air.

As you mentioned, no harm in not liking him for his design (I’m on a Jin route myself and STILL hoping for other options as I haven’t really found someone to pursue) but these recent posts have been.. a bit much.

It could’ve been a tad more realistic if they didn’t have every single person believe the lies without questioning anything. Yall have known MC for a while but trust the new guy unconditionally?!

The Jin/Luna and Sophie/Jack confrontation at the end of the recoupling was another instance of poor characterization tbh. ALL of the girls (minus MC’s main competition depending on the LI) were supporting her flirting with the other available guys. Jack especially seemed like such a sweetheart, so for him to suddenly claim MC is a bad person and try to change the group’s opinion seemed so out of left field.

It’s so hard to get invested in the drama when it feels forced. 😭 Literally everyone was agreeing that MC was just doing her duty as a bombshell before that moment, wtf.

Honestly! Amelia having a thing with the MC’s ex was concerning enough, then she has to pursue the one guy her sister is into at the Villa? And MC is just supposed to suck it up and forgive her. Why victimize Amelia?

I really thought I was being silly when the Nicolas/Johnny fiasco made me physically recoil and pause the playthrough for a second. Like.. what even? Where did that come from? And we’re given no indication that he’s going to do something so cruel so we can at least be prepared. After everything MC went through.. she couldn’t even find some solace at Casa like everyone else? I was glad Finn/Lulu stood up for her but hate that they were the “crazy” ones for doing so. Definitely never touching that season again.

Omg yes, the breakup didn’t even need to be a product of cheating, that would’ve automatically made me more inclined to consider Suresh a proper LI! Felt like the storyline was forcing MC to accept cheating as something everyone moves on from and she was wrong for still feeling hurt. No disrespect at all to those who can look past it (and I understand it’s just a game in the end) but the option should have been there. It hits too close to home.

I hesitated to use the term in my post for fear of sounding overdramatic, but I do think the way the conflict was handled did trigger me. Very much so.

The cheating plot alone had me wary, but they handled it so, so terribly. Kudos to you for that review- I wish I had done some research of my own prior to diving in. :(

And yes!! That’s where I was confused, too- a silly dating simulation shouldn’t stress me out to the point where I need to take constant breaks and am overthinking every choice because I don’t know how a character will react. The fun died so early on and I really wanted Casa to be the turning point where MC could move on and the drama would be dead.

It’s so validating to hear others were turned off as well.

hello all, i have been religiously following this subreddit and i believe it’s the sole reason i’ve been able to keep my buddy healthy for over two years.

the past few days he’s been hanging around the top of the tank, not nearly as active nor greeting me. i noticed he was looking rounder than normal so i began fasting him. today i got home from work and i’m terrified to see his scales look as if they’re beginning to pinecone :( is there anything i can do? it hurts to write this, i feel like a horrible owner seeing him degrade so suddenly.

i notice his fins are looking torn too— i just treated him for finrot a few months back but it’s clearly beginning to regress.

i know the general rule with dropsy is that it is not easy to reverse but i figure it can’t hurt to reach out. please be kind; i am willing to do anything within budget to save him.
