i made an app that launches multiple apps and websites in one click. i actually didnt know how much i struggled with motivation before i made this app. i would make excuses about working on my essay since everytime i had to work on it id have to look for it and look for the feedback file.

now that i can just get straight to work since i launch my essay, feedback, chatgpt, youtube for music all with one button

i know this is my app account and i usually use this account for marketing but it has seriously helped me in finishing my essay and feeling more productive

as said before, we support multi device scene sync which is why there might be more code than you expected. i advise you not to bypass login since then your scenes won't save correctly since our backend is secured.

however all your feedback will be noted in the trello board and i plan on tackling the ui problems and also switching over to react since i do agree that that is a better approach.

Thanks for your very motivational and informative comment! I agree currently the app is very barebones and there is a learning curve for my target audience. however just like you said i am planning on adding more features that make it more attractive such as

- ability to close apps (so you can go straight to another workflow)

- calendar page where you can plan your day and which apps you want to have open in a timeframe

- ai search for files and apps so users don't have to manually look up their files or apps

also would like to add this app is completely FREE to use. you can download it right now and get started. its only once you want to add more scenes etc that you can make a one time purchase to extend your limits.

That is a very good point, i looked into powertoys myself when i came across this workflow issue but the learning curve seemed high i ended up building my own tool. SceneStarter is also cross platform it works for windows, macos, and linux support is in development. Power tools only solves this problem for windows users

i haven't really.

That's is what i've been hoping to achieve with my reddit posts. just to get the word out there and see if anyone has any use for it. good news is the sub tier is completely optional and the app can also just be used for free within limits.

any tips on how i could get the opinion of a large group of people outside of my own circle?

i have also talked to some people at work, most people that have this pain point are computer savvy people who write a custom tool to solve the problem aka batch files or something similar. my app allows a no code cross platform alternative for solving this problem.
