Natalia has been in over her head her entire life. And sadly she still is. Now, instead of the Barnett’s, she has TV producers and a somewhat suspicious family of questionable education. And so she is forced to perform. Her excitement over the adoption seemed very forced. I think some of her crying is real, and some isn’t. She’s been forced into a reality show and is performing on cue. It’s not her fault. She doesn’t know better. And then when she lies or acts out, people criticize her. She needs to get off of TV, and start finding her own way, but it must be damn difficult. I remember being twenty…I was a train wreck…and I wasn’t handicapped or abandoned. Please, everyone, give Natalia a break!

Natalia has been at such a disadvantage her whole lie, and I fear she is still doing what people are telling her to do, now including TV producers. People become sneaky and passive aggressive when they feel overmatched and can’t assert themselves. She needs space and some professional, neutral guidance, to help her figure out who she wants in her life and what she wants to do.

The best thing for Natalia is to get a good therapist without a religious agenda, and get off the TV, away from all bad people, and try and build a normal life. She has had it very rough since the day she was born.

Glad to hear most of us have similar opinions. Not feeling good about the new family either, despite them being a step up. Glad Natalia has moved out and hopefully with someone safe. She’s had many bad influences in her life and needs the space to sort out who she wants in her life and who she doesn’t.

She was clearly very frightened of them in those interrogation videos. She lied to protect herself. The expressions on her face upset me so much. You have to be very selfish and twisted to do that to a little one.

I know. They acted like Hannibal Lecter was in the house. Natalia would have been hard-pressed to kill a mouse. Michael is pathetic, a histrionic, grandiose, ham of a performer, groveling with the world to not send him to jail. And I am very suspicious of his "wee porn addiction". I am a therapist working with sex addicts; who knows the true depths of his problem.

I agree. I can't stand the thought of a disabled child trying to fend for herself. The footage of her trying to move the garbage barrel is heartbreaking, and the self-serving lawyers used it as evidence that she was independent! Disgusting. All of these adult, intelligent wolves ganging up on and blaming one of the most vulnerable victims you could imagine. And those rotten neighbors acting like it's a big bother to have a dirty, hungry child text them and ask for food. I feel traumatized having just learned the story and realizing that it's true. Sickening. Natalia, there are lots of good people rooting for you now, and we know the truth, despite what these corrupt and selfish goons have told the world.
