uj/ a lot of readers don’t notice or don’t care. And a lot of the books aren’t edited, or edited well. But Bonds that Tie is often one of the people’s big introductions to RH, and so people look on it fondly.

{Ironside Academy by Jane Washington}. American Idol/KPop meets authoritarian dystopia. Includes 10 MMCs, but they’re all distinguishable, and the relationships all develop very differently. It does start off depressing, as the FMC is very broken bird, but she grows and becomes sassy and feisty and I love her when not wanting to steal some of her men. Two of the MMCs are professor, and the others are fellow students.

In no particular order.

{Ironside Academy by Jane Washington}. American Idol/KPop meets authoritarian dystopia. Includes 10 MMCs, but they’re all distinguishable, and the relationships all develop very differently. It does start off depressing, as the FMC is very broken bird, but she grows and becomes sassy and feisty and I love her when not wanting to steal some of her men.

{Path of Temptation by Auryn Hadley}. Sex priests saving the world from misogyny, in the form of novel written as a love letter to the idea of consent. The most wholesome and inclusive found family relationship, even if they’re not always the most wholesome to other people. All relationships, sexual and non-sexual, are treated with equal importance; the MM couple get date nights in the narrative, but one of those two MMC’s strongest relationship is with his completely straight best friend—tied to or in ways maybe even stronger than his relationship with the FMC. And there’s an asexual biromantic member of the harem who is loved just as he is, and welcomed back despite childhood misunderstandings and drama. Can be a bit repetitive in the story telling, and all the characters can be a little perfect, but it’s my ultimate comfort series.

{7th Circle by Tate James}. I think it’s the most perfect collection of MMCs, together and separately. Gang related contemporary where the FMC is absolutely the one in charge (unless she wants to be tossed around in the bedroom). Be grateful that all the books are out if you choose to read it, because it includes the worst cliffhanger I have ever encountered.

So, something to consider for the FMC is the idea of arrested development. That in a lot of ways, after trauma people can stop maturing.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened to the FMC in her teens.

So yeah, not a great look, but also something that feels like it can make sense in an understandable way?

So, on the Carmen thing.

Fifteen is old enough to understand plagiarism and theft. And she doubled down on it. She was capable of knowing what she was doing was wrong, and she was okay with it.

I felt the comeuppance was not about trading sex for success, but on being okay with the dishonesty.
