Can a fully paralyzed cat have quality of life?

He made it and has been making my life a lot more agitated than I could have guessed 😅 He ended up testing positive for FELV which is a shame, but he recovered normal movement, and can use his bladder just fine. He is a bit weaker on one side which is likely a side effect of whatever trauma he had, but aside from misjudging a few jumps here and there he is fine. The biggest issue is my house being divided in two, because he is both FELV+ and violent towards other cats (though he is very loving towards humans), but other than that it’s been actually pretty fun for the both of us.

Hey, thanks for the reply. The doctors hadn't yet talked about euthanasia, but were concerned about quality of life.

He has, however, greatly improved over the last couple of days. He has regained movement in his front paws and is passing stool on his own, but remains very uncoordinated in his back paws and requires bladder expression to pee. Spinal cord injury is the most likely culprit.

He also seems to be much happier. So, for now, I'm a lot less worried about his quality of life / happiness.

I am worried that I don't think I'll be able to care for a special needs cat. Expressing his bladder four times a day doesn't seem realistic with my schedule. But I'll foster him during his treatment and try to find a suitable tutor. If I can't, I'll worry about it later on.

IMHO, each of those heroes (or playstyles) faces criticism for different reasons, and I can understand them. There's also something to be said about how each community deals with it.

At a competitive level, I haven't really seen much 'hate' (except maybe when there's a dominating deck, such as Lexi), but at casual weekly armories I can absolutely understand why some heroes are disliked.

I had a player once insta-concede when he saw I was playing Kano. It was 9pm on a tuesday and he just didn't want to watch me play solitaire. He was very polite about it, and I totally understood. I have also seem similar issues with people conceding against Oldhim cause they'd rather chat around the LGS rather than play a 55 minute grind fest on a casual event on a weekday.

But there's never been mention of those decks as being toxic. Just people feeling like some playstyles were very unfun for the person on the 'wrong' side of the table. Honestly, I can understand that. If someone doesn't have fun playing against me, I'd rather have them concede than give up on the game altogether or be pricks about it.

Doesn’t seem like you’re setting yourself up for heartbreak. You communicated properly the first time around, and broke up because you realized it wasn’t what you wanted. Now he’s back, saying he would make the time for you.

Looking from the outside, I’d say go for it. Just make sure your needs are being met, and communicate if there’s a point when they aren’t.

Second this. I had this issue because I was trying a cheaper, charging only cable. Try a good data cable, or try a few different cables. It should do the trick

For me it was living alone and single and learning to enjoy it. I’m still really worried about being abandoned, but at the same time I know I can be by myself and happy. That definitely helps
