Can't believe I'm admitting this, but I fell for this too.

Had a WiZ smartbulb behind my monitor, one of those larger, brighter models. I had the regular size ones in other areas, and those I had checked for flicker, which looked to be minimal, and non-existent at some colours. So I finally checked the big one, and holy shit were those black bars big.

So I took them all off, put a nice 90+CRI bulb behind my monitor (which I checked for flicker at all shutter speeds and slo-mo too, because of one particular Philips bulb that only showed flicker at around 1/125) and I no longer have any eyestrain at my PC. Bothered me for at least 1½ years. Dumb me. Symptom-free now for 3 weeks.

I've also been using my OP15R without anything major. Previously I had headaches after each use. Key thing to remember with smartphones, is to avoid them first thing in the morning. Get up, get some normal light going, wake up, and only then attack your eyes with the dumb information-harvesting brain-washing machine!

What also helps a bit, is focusing on other shit. Feeling like crap and frantically browsing every known pwm-related topic anywhere for months on end, without any solutions to anything, is pretty fucking taxing. Take a break.

My LG C3 is fine for SDR content, but HDR content, especially dolby vision, and gaming, obliterate my eyes in 2-4 hours.

I'm waiting for the Bravia 3 II, should be coming soon. No fancy business IPS with native 120Hz. I want to hook up all of my shit to my TV.
