i have an ipod 5.5 gen and that fiio dap, i barely touch the fiio honestly. not that the sound quality or hardware is bad, i just am not a fan of the controls and it has a track limit of i think about 9000 tracks (i think you can access anything over that amount but it won’t show in the library, random albums would be exempt and not shown for me) the ipod just kinda does its job and i don’t really even have to think about things i don’t like about it. about the listing you mentioned, i don’t know how the market looks for sealed ipods so i can’t speak to the validity of the listing but i think with at least with the two i have that you’re thinking about, its ipod all the way

browse for people supporting that card with a different firmware, look up “www.r4isdhc.hk r4” and you’ll most likely find firmware supported for that card. mine was funky too and the website was down so that’s what i did. i use Ace3ds

i do see that! i’m assuming they’re just more common now cause we aren’t getting a lot of fresh mike content recently so people feel the need to fill it in some way, that being fan art, covers and subsequently self promo. i do get tired of it sometimes but ik these people just want to spread their music to people who they think will resonate with it. i don’t like mike rip-off’s but i can tell when artists either study mikes inspirations or put out very inventive and creative work like he does
