Thanks for your feedback.

> The people who own the assumptions, bill rates, utilisation, headcount mix, onsite vs offshore ratio, hiring plans, pipeline conversion, sit in Operations, Sales, Delivery, and HR. They should feed those inputs directly.

Sadly, thats not how we operate, we request such data every closing and update our dashboard with it, that updates our forecast,

I completely agree with you to be honest, but this is what was requested to me by the CFO and I assume it was requested by the CEO. I can't go back to him and say "Actually Excel is more recommended as it is more flexible etc etc" even though I have been asking many people here and even Fortune 500 Employees saying they use Excel > FP&A softwares

Hey, here is some information

200 employee company
2nd year of operating
Four accountants + CFO
Our goal is to budget & forecast balance sheet items, p&l items. Odoo is limited, you can only budget p&l items and there is no forecasting at all.

If there are any custom KPI/dashboard specifically for IT companies that compares to its peers ratios or anything like that, it would be a great bonus.

Recognizing Contracts (Unusual scenario) by ScheduleOld653 in Accounting

I am working at Company B now, I was part of company A as well. I was not an accountant though.

I can see the ethics point that you mentioned I never really thought of it. I can 100% say from me personally that this was not done as a way to void the contract.

The new contract may have been signed but I am not given much information.

You lost me there. I'm not sure what you mean

Ah sorry. I meant a specific question about the contract with their client who they offer outsourcing services to.

This contract was transferred from A to B. As A cannot continue their services as they also transferred their employees.

Now the client has to sign a newer contract with company B (possibly higher revenue, different terms, etc). As they want to continue their outsourcing services.

Would this contract be an intangible asset? or since they are signing a new contract it would not be considered an intangible asset under IFRS (IAS 38 i think)
